definately agree. numbers can be skewed by who is asked, how they are asked, pretty much everything.

The most unbias form of research is a double-blind controlled study that is looking at one factor. Even these can be manipulated by stats. You have to know what to look for to make a conclusion from any research.

Most bias and manipulation comes in the analysis of the data. Questions can be worded in a leading or baited way and other such tactics, but the answers still rely on the subjects giving answers, which cannot be controlled. The compilation and analysis of the data is done directly by the people conducting the survey and they most often know who it was that commissioned them to do the study, ie who gives them their paycheck. The data can be presented many different ways and manipulated in order to provide or suggest the desired outcome. A perfect example is the two articles in the original post. The first one mentions Fox News is the most trusted outlet, but fails to mention it's also the least trusted. That type of selective analysis occurs at the base level as well. That's why, no matter what precautions are taken to ensure the validity of the experiment, such as double blind studies, the results can still reflect bias based on the compilation and analysis of the date gathered.

You're talking about ignorance? Haha, wow. You are the most ignorant, disrespectful person on SCF. By far. You say Christians are ignorant? Look in the mirror buddy. You say right wingers are ignorant? Look in the mirror, buddy. Everything you say you hate, you are. I feel sorry for you that you have that much hate in your life.
Even though I dont believe what the "left" believe, I dont "hate" them. I have no hate for anyone. It must be sad to have that much hate in your life. I feel sorry for you. Oh, and God bless.

Is this really appropriate/needed? From a "staff trainee" nonetheless.
And I hardly agree GBM is the most disrespectful person on the forum. Sure he hates Christians, but I have never heard him say on the forum he wants to kill everyone of them. (He may, but I haven't seen him say it). On this forum I've seen people say they want to kill all Muslims, assassinate the president, black people aren't as smart, etc.
To be honest, the older I get (and the more I read this forum), the more disdain I have for Christians. People always talk about liberal elitist and liberal snobs, them acting all high and mighty etc...but I don't think some of you on this forum (and Christians all over) realize you do the exact same thing.
I have no hate for anyone. It must be sad to have that much hate in your life. I feel sorry for you. Oh, and God bless.
I wasn't even involved in this back and forth but this just makes me a angry/frustrated/annoyed. If that's not being an elitist I don't know what is. All you are doing is poking the bear.
And there goes the deterioration of the thread.
(waits for the "but he started it" response.)

you know what? all this did is show your loyalty. Gatorboy attacks people constantly, making personal attacks and attributing things and quotes that aren't there to begin with. yeah, he hates christians, but he also attacks every single christian as though they are the exact same. Makes assumptions about people and attacks them based on his assumptions. Never once have you come on and said "hey now, that's out of line" but this you choose to get upset about. thanks for making clear where you stand.

And I see this done all the time towards Liberals/California/San Francisco, and not once have you said "Hey now, that's out of line."
Do I agree with what he says every time? No. But what's the point of piling it on when 5 other people already have?
When it's three o'clock in the morning and a supposed ambassador of the site posts something that I think is way out of line, I'm going to speak up.

read through my posts. i have never posted that anyone was out of line except gatorboy in his posts to me. i have stayed out of it. so, no, it isn't the same. if i was defending titan then it would be the same. This was only an issue because rockman chose to defend the person who does more attacking then anyone. Find me where I have defended titan and then, your post makes sense. nice try though

Saying GBM is not the most disrespectful is hardly defending him.
