I'm interested in hearing from the person who said that the soldier shouldn't be covered, but the girl should. Either they have some very interesting thoughts, or decided to "have fun." Boring life, I reckon.
Personally, I have found a few categories of people that hate military men and women. They typically fall into three categories:
- They tried to get into the military, but were turned down or kicked out after a short stint. Jealousy and/or emotional pain usually breeds hatred.
- They lost a girlfriend to a military guy.
- They are so anti-war that they think all military guys are idiots and baby killers.

Agreed, the soldier should be taken care of and the abortion costs are alot cheaper than raising a child.

Is your frame of thought that both people chose to do something and therefore both had consequences?

Is birth control a worse sin than abortion? Birth control prevents abortions, you know.

I assume were talking about insurance paying for it... so in this case, I voted no difference. Putting certain people's healthcare issues over others' is one of the reasons our healthcare/insurance system is so messed up in the first place. They both need a procedure done, and they both "deserve" it, regardless of who's is more "noble."

No difference at all. We know nothing of the girl, and nothing of the soldier.
This isn't coming from an anti-war standpoint. It's my opinion formed from the belief that one life is as valuable as the next. A soldier shouldn't receive special treatment simply because he enlisted. Similarly, a girl shouldn't receive special treatment simply because she can't support her child.

Never tried to get into the military--I was an honor student, middle-class, and not a minority.
Had the same girlfriend for three years now--no interference.
I'm the first generation in my family to not enlist--my father/grandparents aren't/weren't idiots or baby killers.

Didn't we just talk about the whole pathetic pathos (heh) appeal? The answers from which we're to choose are a bit ridiculous. I imagine you'll use your poll from a conservative-leaning website to try to either:
a) sway my view (good luck)
b) attack my view
c) reassure yourself
