Venting Part 2
The Postal Service.
I am soooooo mad today as I received a package from the United States, and the package was gone to crap. It was either stepped on, Something was put on top of it, or hit with a hammer... It has me soo cheesed off that I'm thinking about calling a hault to this online trading bit.
There is no way shape or form the senders fault, he had it packaged properly, safely secured in the package with Fragile written across it. But the US\Canada Postal service doesn't give a crap.
Sorry to moan, but I gave up over 100 bucks in BV in Blake Wheeler RC's for my Patrice Bergeron PC, and I have nothing to show for it. Its like a huge hit to my moral, because I'm only a small time trader who trades mostly with people who cheer for my team, and 100 bucks in BV in cards is a lot of friggin' cards for me... I just feel like the Postal service just took me for 100 bucks.
And they can't do a thing about it. I spoke to the manager and they asked me to prove it (Because I had the package opened already) prove that they did it and I'll get compensated. I threw a fit and left.
I think my online trading days are over. Just finishing my current trades and that's it. And to think, I have over 100 GU'd cards coming that include Ovy\Malkin\Luongo\Brodeur\Backstrom\Datsyuk\Zetter berg\Kane\Toews and company that I was going to use to get my Bergeron PC where I wanted it. I guess they'll all end up on ebay.Last edited by RGM81; 10-07-2009 at 07:05 PM. Reason: Edited for Language

I am really sorry to hear that. I have been having a similar problem but instead of damage I'm not even getting them. I have had packages I sent go missing and incoming ones go missing recently. I think from now on I will ask that we both send with tracking numbers to cover ourselves

Was the card gone, damaged or destroied? If the card is ruined, the seller should have a scan.
I take pictures of packages shipped now, although I did forget to on the last two. I dunno if it would be admissable, but get the sender to make a notarized statement that it was in tact. You shouldn't be required to add insurance for 'normal wear'. People have said Customs can tear into them like a 4 year old with his birthday present. I'm not sure if thats random or what.

I love sports card forums, and I love my hockey card collection, but I can't afford to lose another 100 bucks in cards. Its just not worth it. I think I'll trade locally from now on.

I think the Postal Service is doing it on purpose... Its hard to believe, but it seems a lot of people are having the same service I had yesterday.
