Chris Osgood is my cousin, so when he first got cards issued back in his WHL days, I grabbed a box of 7th Inning Sketch and ripped until I found one. The next year I grabbed older Classic cards and the new 7th Inning Sketch and it continued as he went into the NHL! I think it's safe to say it's blossomed since then, but some might use the word "consumed" now.. ;)

Luke Schenn-----Love Canadian born players with grit. He handled enormous pressure in his rookie year and is a solid stay at home Dman.

Simon Gagne was an easy choice for me. Love his playing style and his attitude. Always comes across as a well respected guy and does what he does on the ice effectively without being too flashy.

Jimmy Howard - I've been a Wings fan since I was a kid in mid 90's and I've always loved goalies, so when I really got back into collecting a few years ago, I decided to go with Jimmy Howard as he was the goalie of the future. When I started the PC back in May of 2010, he had just taken over the number one spot in Detroit (something I'd been looking forward to since his rookie year in 05-06).

Nate Prosser - And here's why:
1. He is the former captain of the local USHL club and led them to the league championship where they won. He also scored the game winning goal in Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals this year for Houston.
2. As you can probably guess from above, he is a prospect/rookie defenseman for the Minnesota Wild (my favorite team). He plays a really smart shutdown style of game and gets the little things done that are oh so important. He'll be a mainstay on the Wild blue line for years to come, just you wait.
3. He's just a real nice down-to-earth guy! He's a man of faith, really cares about people and knows that hockey isn't everything in life.
4. He doesn't have a ton of cards out yet and he's very affordable to collect.

Lets see,
Dustin Tokarski--
The year after I got into collecting I was still looking for someone to collect. Collecting also brought "prospecting" to my attention. I watched the World Junior's and watched the stunning highlight save of Dustin Tokarski against the US. Since then I have been looking for cards of his. He is currently a highly rated prospect in the Lightning's organization.
Paul Bissonnette--
This one is a little different prospect wise. Biznasty was once a player for the Penguins and is one of the top fighters in the league. But he also is pure comedy on his twitter account and he doesn't break my bank to collect him.
I also have Pc's of the Penguins and the Blackhawks but not specific players just the teams.

Patrick Roy- One of my first memories of watching hockey was an Avalanche playoff series on T.V (2001 I think) and I was hooked ever since because of Patrick Roy. I also wanted to start playing hockey (goalie of course) after seeing Roy play.
Ben Bishop- I've always been a fan of goalies and collecting a goalie on my favorite team was only natural. He's fun to watch and has great puck handling skills. I also think it's cool that he grew up in St. Louis and is now playing for the team he grew up cheering for.
