I dont think the Heat have thrown in the towel yet this year.
The east is weak and they will make the playoffs.
If they do a trade like that it would be to have more cap-space for Wade +.
I dont think they could win the east, but I dont think they are going for a lottery pick either.
Right now they are in the 5th spot. 16-12 record, far from throwing in the towel.

yeah but ive always been a believer that if your not competing for a title (which should be every teams ultimate goal) then your rebuilding for the future. i think its time for the heat to start over. they should def be tryin to clear space for the up coming summer.

The way Houston is playing they should definitely unload Tmac. Perhaps they can free up enough room to pursue Bosh or Wade in 2010. With Scola, Landry, and maybe Yao, Wade would be a more likely suitor.

I'd be thrilled to see one of my longtime favorite players come to OKC. The two times I went to see T-Mac live, he was injured (Orlando vs. Dallas in the early '00s) or played like dog poop (against Minnesota in 04-05 while with Houston, but KG's awesome performance made it worth my while). Maybe if I saw a live OKC game, he would really show up, lol.

Don't see how McGrady is a good fit in OKC as they're saving money to keep the core together in the future. The team also doesn't need anymore scoring, and the money would be better well spent on a defensive center.
Houston wants part expiring and part piece for the future. OKC is hoarding young talent, not trading it away. I'm hoping they package up their expirings for someone like Okafor, not McGrady.Last edited by Velvet Hoop; 12-31-2009 at 01:36 AM.
