Why you heff to be mad?
Screw Smyth.
Cmon Jordan. I like the Oil. But I think RNH is grossly overrated. He's decent but I see him as a 60-80 pt player at best and he gets hype like he's going to score more than that. And the dude is FAR too small right now. He needs to bulk up or he's going to get DESTROYED by a Dewey Cox hip check. Sorta like this:
And do you really think Khabby can keep this up?? I mean maybe that DUI arrest knocked some skill back in to the guy but really his game will fall off at some point, at least to the point that he's not tops in the league.
It really shocks me that your D has been so good this year. I came in this season thinking this team would be a team with great offense, no defense, and goaltending worse than the LOLBarbera/Cloutier combo (Team Beachball). But alas the D has been good, goaltending unreal, and Offense has been able to score enough to win.
You guys have Neighlor Hall and you as a fan (and that 30Ranford guy who is okay I guess ;) ) so I do root for them vs certain teams but I don't see them finishing higher than 3rd in the division. They'll be above the team dumb enough to trade for Heatley and the team in the city I went to school for a year and hated it.

Dude, I'm kidding. I'm in a good mood because my team is playing well. I'm not allowed to make jokes?

Yes. Very much so. Hall is better defensively, better skater, better playmaker. Only thing Stamkos has is a hard shot and the ability to look good when the best RWer in the game feeds him wide open passes.

6 in a row for the Oilers against a tough LA Kings team. Khabibulin played great once again, and the defense was good as well. Great way to start the road trip.

Oilers are going through a really tough stretch right now. Game isn't over yet, but they're probably going to lose their 4th straight, and 5th of their last 6.
Khabibulin definitely masked a lot of the flaws in the team, and now the defense is sputtering along with the offense that was never really there outside of RNH and Smyth.

In my opinion, last night was a must win for the Oil. They were looking so good, lots of shots on net and scoring chances, then BAM! Ottawa bangs in 2 quick ones 10 seconds apart and that pretty much sealed the Oilers fate. Now they have to face the Hawks that they just lost against. Need this win going back on another road trip. Come on boys!
Side note, I really hope Potter is okay, as well as Sutton. Barker is already out, we cant be losing 3 d-men and expect to play well.
