Yup, the donation enclosed trick is usually what ya hafta do. He's a great signer otherwise, and he really does put the money to a good cause. Hell of a bargain for a player like him. Photo looks fantastic too, I love his sig.

Came home from five days away to a mixed mail box.

    Ernie Banks
RTS on my 8x10. I sent it back in November so it's been sitting there for about four months. He signs in bunches and a few have been coming back to people recently so I was hoping... but no cigar. Also, it seems that he's been stamping some returns as of late, so I'm not sure if I'll send it back out or not.

    Mahlon Duckett
Negro Leaguer. I've been lazy about sending to these guys and there aren't many left.
I made four "custom" 5x7s from the Allen & Ginter card, offered he keep two which he did, and I also enclosed $5. He signed and inscribed the other two with "Phila Stars - Homestead Grays, 1940-1950"... very happy with how these came out.

    nice negro league pick up

    Thanks man!

I've been kind of slow TTM lately, but I sent a bunch out last week (and will send more this week) so hopefully things will pick up.

    Bret "Hitman" Hart
Got this on IP on Friday at a wrestling event in MA. The Hitman is an absolute legend of pro wrestling (whether you like wrestling or not) and he was a pleasure to meet.

    Don Newcombe
Newc is pretty expensive ttm, but he holds such a significant spot in the history of baseball as one of the first black MLB pitching stars playing on those classic Dodgers teams. I had to bite the bullet and send to him. Plus, I absolutely love this photo of him between Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella.

I sent a check for $30 and asked for the 1956 Cy Young/MVP and 1949 ROY inscriptions, but just got the '56 ones. Still pretty happy, though it looks like he messed up on "1956" and tried to cover it up somehow. When you're paying $30 for an autograph, you want it to be perfect. The guy's 85 though. Still very happy with this. I included the pricelist he sent too.

Been a good week all around with a couple TTMs, an IP, and a purchase but haven't had the time to update, so here goes. First, the TTMs...

    Bart Starr
I sucked it up and sent the $20 donation. I also included a silver sharpie because I had seen him sign this same photo for someone else in a dark marker. I asked for the 5x NFL Champs and HOF inscriptions and I got them. He even added some nice protective cardboard to my SASE. Love how this came out.

    Bob Foster
Foster was a dominant light heavyweight champion who won the title in 1968 and kept in until he retired in 1974. He also fought up a weight class, taking on heavyweights including Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali (he was knocked out by both). Bob signed two 8x10s for me. I sent the silver and asked that he use it on the photo of him fighting Ali.

    Ultimate Warrior
Another IP wrestling legend. One of the major stars of the late 80s and early 90s.

    Scotty Moore
Scotty Moore's influence on popular music and rock n roll can't be overstated. Scotty was Elvis Presley's guitar player from the very beginning, staying with Elvis through his massive boom in popularity until he basically gave up music for the movies. That's Scotty's guitar you hear on That's All Right, Heartbreak Hotel, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, and so many more iconic Elvis songs. Scotty sells these glossy 8x10s on his website (there are plenty to choose from) for $10 each. I'm a huge Elvis fan so I made the purchase.
