Thanks guys!
Virgil Trucks
One of the kindest signers ever, and he's 95 years old! I sent him two 8x10s and one 5x7 and he did a gorgeous job. Also included a card of his own. I sent him extras of each photo to keep (three total extras). He wrote a really nice letter back on very cool paper. He said if I didn't like the way he signed the photos to let him know and he would sign the extras I sent him however I want!!! That's unheard of and so incredibly nice of him, but it won't be necessary. He did a tremendous job on these.
In my letter I told him that I've worked with his nephew Butch Trucks and great-nephew Derek Trucks many times (they are both musicians in the Allman Brothers Band) and will be working with Derek again in a few weeks. He told me to say hi to him! Pretty amazing return in all. I'm very happy.
Also, just a note, seeing other people's returns I always thought that the "Fire" was stamped because I've seen him stamp the fire truck and the no-hitter stats. But after getting this return it's obvious the he hand-writes "Fire" in a thin red marker.

This 8x10 is going to Johnny Groth next.

I've been quiet with TTMs lately, haven't sent much out. However, I graphed the International Boxing Hall of Fame this weekend in Canastota, NY so I want to share my in-person successes. It was my first time attending their induction weekend but won't be my last. It's a ton of fun in small town where graphing lots of boxing legends is pretty laid-back and easy. I didn't stay the whole time, but I think I did pretty well for the day and a half I was there. Here's my haul...
Leon Spinks
beat Ali in 1978 for the heavyweight championship. 8x10.

Chuck Wepner
fought Ali in 1975 which inspired Stallone to write Rocky. I also got him TTM a few months ago.
8x10

11x14

George Chuvalo
heavyweight contender who fought everyone... Floyd Patterson, Ali (twice), Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Jerry Quarry, and so many more. In 93 fights no one ever knocked him down.
8x10 fighting Ali

8x10 with Joe Frazier and Joe Louis

Aaron "The Hawk" Pryor
8x10 getting drilled by his major rival, the late Alexis Arguello

"Irish" Mickey Ward
the movie The Fighter was based on his life. I got Mickey to sign this photo in the bar in town where everyone hangs out. Mickey and his brother Dickey Ecklund (also a boxer) were having a great time drinking and were happy to sign anything you put in front of them. Mickey is also a great TTM signer.
8x10 against his major rival, the late Arturo "Thunder" Gatti

Gaspar Ortega
one of Mexico's finest fighters, 8x10

"Relentless" Lamon Brewster
knocked out Wladimir Klitschko for the heavyweight championship in 2004. 8x10

I also collected signatures on a glove throughout the weekend. In addition to the guys above I got the following on the glove... former heavyweight champ Ray Mercer, former heavyweight champ Michael Moorer, former flyweight champ Mark "Too Sharp" Johnson, former light heavyweight champ and co-star of the last Rocky movie Antonio Tarver, "The Great White Hope" Gentleman Gerry Cooney, James "Buddy" McGirt.
And lastly, I made the following purchases of Emile Griffith... one of my all-time favorite fighters. He used to attend the Hall of Fame weekend every year but is now no longer well enough, so I decided to buy a few because I'll never have a chance to get him IP from here on out.
Three 8x10s (these were only a dollar each... what a steal!)

and an 11x14 of Emile knocking out Benny Paret in their third and final fight. Unfortunately, Paret never woke up and died three days later. Watch the amazing documentary Ring Of Fire for the whole story and how it affected Griffith for the rest of his life.

A wise man once told me "If you don't send any TTMs out, you won't get any back."
I haven't sent anything in over a month, been pretty busy during the summer, but a few are still trickling in that have been out there a while. I always put all my dates in the TTMM.
Warren Moon
Glad to get this Hall of Famer. His signature looks great. Get him while he's a good signer! I think I asked for the HOF inscription.

Jerry West
I really wanted this photo because it's The Logo* but Jerry really was one of the finest players to ever step on a basketball court. If that wasn't enough, he won seven NBA championships as an impeccable GM of the Lakers, was a great coach, and is still going. Voted one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all time.
I asked for the HOF inscription and he also added 2010. I'm thinking he must've meant to write 2012 but it was just one of those errors where you happen to write the wrong year. Kind of funny. No problem though... I love this return!

*In case you didn't know, this photo of Jerry West inspired the designer of the NBA logo. You can read the story if you want here http://www.logodesignlove.com/nba-logo-jerry-west

Thanks man. It's an awesome and historically important photo.. loving your stuff lately too!
I didn't realize that... thanks for educating me! That's actually an incredibly cool fact that I somehow overlooked, but to me it makes this autograph a lot more amazing and I like it even more now. Thank you for the heads up!
