The point has been made a million times. Doesn't change the fact that it's very narrow reasoning.

The narrow minded reasoning and arguments on this thread really have been out there and that is saying a lot especially for this site. And for what Veggie posted about Jesus, give me a break. Last time I checked people in his era weren't packing assault rifles. Perhaps I should add to the idiotic, narrow minded comments and I want my right to own WMD's. After all I have a right to protect myself from people who also have them. Do some of you actually believe the garbage you're typing?

It's not about not being able to get them. It's about making it harder so just perhaps the perpetrator chooses a less deadly method to their madness. Every little roadblock helps. What is the downside to restricting what can and cannot be purchased?

You can't buy the fertilizer he used unless you have a special license...once that happened they outlawed it...but it's also not something that will be around even after a ban like guns would be. Once used, the fertilizer is gone but guns will always be around no matter what you do.

Do you really think i am? Yes on everything except your highlighted post, but if something were to ever happen bad enough and nobody had guns to protect themselves. they would probably be the first to go

And if anyone sneaks in your house at night are you going to be able to get to your locked gun cabinet/safe (if its even near you) before the person who is already armed gets to you? Seriously? the only way I could see a gun being handy is if its unlocked, and close by. Which is unsafe, especially if you have children. Are you people really this paranoid? You'd be better off getting your family out of the house then trying to stumble around and get a firearm and hope you get off the first shot.
