Here's my newest rodeo,
Sold a card auction style last night. Buyer pays immediately. I packed it out and shipped it first thing this AM. I then get this email from the buyer:
"hey man... i had forgot to change my shipping address back to orignal... i
ordered something for my mom and they didnt accept po boxes.. if you read
this before you ship out,.. i need you to ship to:
***** *******
PO BOX
217
Mallory WV 25634
let me knw when u get this so i knw wat to do
thanks so much!
So I respond, unfortunately I've already shipped the card addressed to the info on your Ebay order details page. I hope this doesn't cause any issues.
He replies:
"yea it mite.. i mite not receivde it now... ill let u knw"
"can I at least have a tracking number so I can track it down?"
I respond with:
Sorry Jason I don't have a tracking number, tracking costs $17 which isn't included in free shipping. I don't know what to say. I shipped to the address as stated on your Paypal and Ebay order details, I'm really dissapointed and hope your card arrives but what else can I do?
-------------------------------------------------
I am so sick of Ebay, I can already smell a Paypal case in the next 2 weeks. What a joke. I don't even know how to reply. Also the address he's asked me to ship to above isn't his Paypal confirmed address. Any suggestions?Last edited by 13stepper; 12-09-2013 at 03:47 PM.

You've done all you can as a seller. Tell him that you can only ship to the confirmed address that eBay has on file. This is eBay policy. You had it packed out the door in less than 24 hours and cannot be held responsible for other members' inability to ensure that their information is accurate and up-to-date.

My first negative on eBay! Oh goody! While I'm sure eBay is going to reverse this one for me.... here's one for all of you to enjoy:
Sold serveral cards on Sunday night. I know expect paytment to come in slowly, so it's packing things up each night. I'm still waiting for payment on 4 itmes, but I notice that I haveve recieved feedback for one of them. Little strange if you ask me......
So I check it out, and it's a negative!
So, thecodybear2119, left me a negative, with this is as the comment:
"I got a another itg draft auto of Jeremy gregoire so thanks but no thanks"
Okay, I get it. Instead of bidding on one copy of the card, you bid on multiples... and have picked someone else's as the one you'll actually pay for. Maybe got it from them for a buck cheaper? Who knows (don't care to look it up). $1.99 + s/h ($2.99) isn't exactly expensive, but what is that my problem??
A simple message explaining to me that he bid on two, and would like to cancel the deal - would have been no problem. Not like there were any other bids anyway.
Hopefully eBay will actually remove this, kill the transaction, and give me back my fees.

I would give you a negative as well. You have some nerve selling him a card... ???
Some people should lose their computer and get a pad of paper and a pencil.

30RanfordFan - people never fail to amaze me with their stupidity. While I've bid on multiples of the same card before, and won more than the one I expected it to win ... I'd never consider that the SELLER's fault. I agree with Hossa18Sens ... the buyer should be restricted to a pencil and paper.
Hopefully eBay will see the logic in your argument against the negative. One never knows about eBay's ability to see logic, though.

**Adds thecodybear2119 to block list**
I expected to see a user with single digit feedback, not almost 600. He's a real rocket surgeon, he did buy another one 23 minutes after he bought the one from you and he paid $3.99 + $3.75 S&H for it!?!

Maybe requiring people to answer a really hard skill testing question (like 2+2 = ?) when they create an eBay account would eliminate morans like this guy?

That makes it even better! 76 cents more on shipping, and $2 more on the card, lol.
As I said - I expect eBay will remove it, cancel the sale, etc.
Looking at feedback he left for others, not the first time he pulled this either.
