If I was a Blazers fan, I'd be happy. They destroyed Houston, but the Spurs are a big step up. They will be dangerous in the near future.
A Melo like addition would be nice.

Spurs are the epitome of team ball. Nobody has to score 50 for them to win. Because of that they are hard to guard and everyone contributes. Would be nice to see them win it all.

I hope the blazers become like the spurs someday. Wouldn't mind seeing the spurs win it all now.

Miami is the prefect example of non team ball.Besides it would be nice not to hear about Lebron and hear about some other players.I mean he is 2/4 in Final appearances which is good but nowhere near Kobe,Duncan or any of the former greats

LOL Miami is a good team but they basically created an easy road to the Finals. For example, this year they have played the Bobcats, Nets (minus Lopez who probably would have killed them inside) and possibly the Wizards or a struggling Pacers team. Before that I can only think of the Pacers really giving them any trouble. They made Hibbert a star and he goes mia (pun intended) for stretches. Any all-star in the west you know would score 0? They are a stacked team in a bad conference. I'm just not impressed when they win.
Meanwhile the West's 9 seed would have been 3rd in the East. Its a weak conference and will get weaker if you want Melo on the team too. It's like they don't have enough lottery pick talent. .....But the West will beat each other up and the Heat will probably just outlast whoever survives.
The one thing that kills the Heat is teamwork. Lebron can't guard everyone. Spurs were a rebound or ft away from winning last year with a hurt TP. Those final plays vs Nets last night would have touched a couple people's hands in the Spurs system. Not isos which basically lets a superstar maul you when it counts. We need to bring team ball back as an example of how to play. I know it doesn't sell Gatorade, Sprite or Tmobile but it's what we need to show that you can win if the team plays their parts. NBA may hate it (b/c advertising) but coaches would love it. Maybe the players will get a clue and stop trying to jump to the most star-laden team and restore some competitive balance in this league.Last edited by cgb_orl; 05-15-2014 at 04:16 PM.

Looks like Serge Ibaka may miss the rest of the post season. Thunder done? If not against the Spurs I can't see them beating the Heat without him in my opinion.

Serge is the man to control Tim, Pop can destroy any team with a hole that big.
The end of OKC, the more these endings keep repeating the more likely KD will be looking for a new team.

The Heat lose game one and it looks like the Spurs should beat the Thunder. The NBA must be freaking out at the possibility of a Spurs/Pacers finals.
