It should not be legal as a form of birth control. It can be used if the mothers life would be in danger IMO.

Sure they sign a contract. They sign the papers accepting the healthcare, etc.
Companies get preferential treatment all the time, it usually is the President or Congress choosing the winners and losers though.

Yep, didn't the Pres give waivers for this healthcare debacle to some companies? How is that legal if this is the "law of the land"?? Every company/state should sue.

oh you mean the healthcare contract.
again, the fact of the matter is not about the employees options it all about a corporation getting out of a law because of it's so called religious view when others have to follow them. I found a good list of other medical themed items that corporations should be able to get out of offering through their mandated medical coverage... [blood transfusions (Jehovah's Witnesses); antidepressants (Scientologists); medications derived from pigs, including anesthesia, intravenous fluids, and pills coated with gelatin (certain Muslims, Jews, and Hindus)]
Outside of the medical side of this it seems like there are way more things that corporations can get out of if they say it's against their religious beliefs. To me religious beliefs shouldn't apply to corporate rules. They are for profit companies and shouldn't get preferential treatment.
I agree, companies already get preferential treatment mostly through lobby and politicians passing laws based off of campaign funds and not the good of the country. That's something that needs to be altered and is just as shady if not more. It's one of the main reasons why things are out of whack with the system. Adding another way, by using religious belief, doesn't help the situation.

Other companies shouldn't have gotten them either. I'm not aware of specifics as to why and how they did, but they should be in the same boat as hobby lobby.
