Call it what you will, but the man who you have no regard for, will never hold his child in his arms, he will never see his child smile and laugh, and he will never a read a book to them. He will never teach his child how to ride a bike, throw a curve ball or color in between the lines. He will never be there for their greatest triumphs or give them a hug after a tough day. THAT is the choice you believe a woman can take away from a man. That is life!

    What do you want?

Force women to do something they don't want to?

Imagine if you were a woman, imagine someone was forcing you into doing something you absolutely don't want to do....how would you feel?

Should I post all the horror stories from countries that DO ban abortions such as Brazil so you can see how banning it is NOT the solution and only create more problems?

You're approaching the issue on a very emotional standpoint, this is the biggest problem with "Pro-lifers"....the truth is, what other people do in regards to this issue is none of your concern nor does it impact your life.

You think this is murder and yet all of medical science is in agreement that before viability we do NOT have a person who can feel and think like you and I can.

I DON'T like to think about abortions either....in a perfect world we would have no need for it, but we don't live in a perfect world and people are free to make their own decisions.

Funny the last statement of your thread in black and white says "people are free to make their own decision" Now is it only on the topic of abortion or all aspects? You bash those who chose Christianity or other religions, and you bash those who choose to bear arms. So which is it Alex do we have choice or only choice when it is a topic you agree on?

If a woman has the right to abort a man's child because it is growing in her body, men should be exempt from paying child support since the child never grew in his body.

Well then am I exempt from owning a gun? Since you are pro gun and therefore everyone should have a gun, right?

I think that there are too many low life men out there who would instead of making it work just claim they didn't want the kid so should be exempt. I also think that abortion should not be used as birth control and that situation should never come up. If the man doesn't want a kid either strap up or date someone with similar thoughts.

Both adults should be able to sit down and have an equal say in a pregnancy. It takes two to tango. Why should one person have all of the leverage for the next 18+ years simple because she has different body parts?

    Responses in bold.

I'm saying that because being pro-choice doesn't mean I think everyone should get abortions. They should only have to be used in medical emergencies.

Both parents should have a say in the pregnancy. But ultimately, it's the fathers choice whether or not the mother gets pregnant right? If he made the choice to get her pregnant and she makes the choice to keep the baby he should have to deal with it. Since he already made the choice to get her pregnant and she did not want to get pregnant shouldn't she have a choice too?

what if he just wanted sex, so did she, she gets pregnant, he wants to raise the kid, she doesn't and gets abortion.

so they both are equal when the choice of sex was made, but afterward, she has all the say so.
with that being said, until they find a way to get fetus from her body to his, his choice is limited to what she wants.
just how nature and the law works.

I hate abortion but what is a reasonable alternative? to bring up kids who are unwanted, abused, or worse?

    Getting back on topic...

I CAN'T WAIT for a JW company to tell it's employees that Blood transfusions will NOT be covered in their health care because their religion is very much against that.

Or when a Scientologist company tells it's employees that anti-depressants will not be covered...

Or when ANY religious company that is against vaccines also tells it's employees that they won't cover that...

Seriously, SCOTUS opened up a can of worms...

This is EXACTLY the most important issues here that a lot of people aren't seeing (on this site and others I've spoken with). It goes mush deeper than birth control, morning after pills, hobby lobby, obamacare, and so on.

You mean like the government did?

I agree, the government shouldn't force rules created by religious views on us either.
