In the meantime he is promising to reduce our emissions by more than 1/4 in the next 10 years with no viable energy alternatives. That hurts future Americans.

I have no problem with emissions reduction. I have a problem with the country that has a worse emission problem being expected to reduce their emissions at a lower rate over a longer time frame. I am actually advocating that China be held at least to the same standard that we will be held to considering they are doing more to hurt the climate than we are.

Trying to tell China what to do is like telling the bank that owns your mortgage what they should be doing. I hate that we are in this situation but China can do whatever they want right now.

I am not saying we tell them what to do. We simply agree to match any reduction they are willing to set for themselves. Their motivation to reduce theirs becomes their joy at getting to dictate what ours will be. It is a simple process.

Actually it hurts the economic future of our country. Yours too. Reducing emissions at a rate that nobody actually thinks is doable results in forced reduction of the use of fossil fuels with no viable alternative sources. The net result will be higher prices. I have no issues with reducing emissions, but we have to do it with some intelligence.

I don't care what Al Gore or any other left-wing alarmist told you. I listen to scientists, smart people that study it. When a man I've known for 25 years tells me it's real. I believe him. I trust him. I know his character. I know he's doesn't have an ulterior motive, a bias.
