Really? Because I have photobucket and I am able to organize my collection by file name, title, etc.
But since photobucket is only good for showing your collection to people in person, I do have a Flickr account.

I received the same message a few days ago. They want $399.99 a year. I assume that is USD. Now I look at my trade post and they have all been removed by PB (ie. the 3rd party hosting thing). That is their right, they can do what ever they want. Seems kind of silly, all I want to do is post a few hockey card pics on a forum.
Been with PB for a really long time. I guess I will be opening a Flickr account.

I erased my Photo Bucket account and started a Flickr account! I was on Photo Bucket for a long time and to pay for an account to keep pop ups is wrong.
Looking for Aaron Judge cards, current Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs!

Flickr is the way to go then? I'll happily shut down my Photo Bucket account. It was a good sight when I started on it... but it's just got worse and worse to use over the years IMO. $400? I wouldn't pay $20 for it.

You know, the more I think about the photobucket fiasco, the more I wonder "why are people complaining?".
You can still view people's buckets. You just can't post image links from photobucket to other sites, like here on SCF without paying for it. My question is, "so what?".
If people are too lazy to go through your photobucket, we have a saying here in Newfoundland that goes like this: "what odds about'em??"
A lot of people "don't have time" to view them. Whatever. If you don't want to go through my bucket and you want a specific scan, ask me and I will provide a scan from my laptop.
I will continue to hold both a bucket and a Flickr. I love the layout of photobucket. I can group my PC in one folder with subfolders for each team. You can't do that with Flickr. You have to create separate folders for each thing. I have to label each folder as "PC" or "traders" and it's a pain because PC mingles with traders.

That's your call, but I'd say the majority of people are not going to click on a Photobucket link at this point. The number of popups, popouts, scrolling ads, etc makes the site entirely unnavigable.
If your goal is to avoid making trades or sales, than Photobucket is definitely the best option.Last edited by Maggot; 07-21-2017 at 04:38 PM.
