@mikecole141 pretty similar to what you have reported in your post. A lot of the cards were eBay purchases but there's also a significant number transferred from ePack (PWHL Showcase, 4 Nations Face-Off) -- the actual shipping was around $35 with the balance being duties...and I only marked it as $150 declared value.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I think I am going to slow down in the hobby so greatly that I may get out all together. Too many people have their hands in your pocket during transactions. Cannot take my hundreds of cards from COMC until.. Trump is gone?

So a 4 year hiatus for me and edging towards leaving the hobby altogether. After doing my taxes last year I realized just how much money I lost, especially with the $500+ I lost during the strike. I once had 4 people open a claim against me in a single day!!! Out of 500+ transactions I make in a fiscal year I usually get 2 or 3. And after the strike ZERO of my mail to USA arrived when sending economy. So I ended that. After talking to other eBay sellers who were in the same situation it seemed as if CP employees were literally throwing our packages in the garbage never to be seen again. Rotting away in dump somewhere.

The hobby is a tough place to be right now.

Wait it a bit. I have a feel that the tarrifs will end while Trump is still in the office. USMCA renegociation is supposed to end next year. Also, Carney said that Canada will get into that Golden Dome thing. I will send more cards to COMC after the end of the tarrif, for the moment, I am doing other things with my cards time. There is still fun to have with the hobby. This morning, I am sorting some OPC Habs cards for my binder, nothing flashy, but I enjoy it. I slowed wax a lot, I don't feel like the value is there.

Like his predecessor Carney says a lot of things. When will we see any actual plans and when will ever see his personal financial disclosure?
I will consider buying cards from my want list for the right price.

To be fair, all the chaos is being caused by the president. I think his game plan is to confuse and frustrate other nations as much as possible. It's tarrifs on/tarrifs off, non stop. And if you're waiting for any politician to be transparent, you'll be waiting forever.

Just ordered some cards from Comc and the price of the cards was 183.98 for 109 cards and the shipping and duty was 86.39. That was 23.99 for shipping and 62.40 for duty.

Between the tarrifs and the looming Canada Post strike, I'm not doing much buying or selling. I'll check out the Ottawa cars show this weekend. BUT.. .this has now allowed me the time to finally organize. My collection was in desperate need of it. Silver lining,!

Does the court ruling help you all as the court struck down a lot of his tariffs. Not sure if this included the cards etc as I not read the article but just caught several headlines.
