If you don't like the rules of the church, don't go. Seems simple enough to me. Rather than call them insightful terms like "moron", why don't you find another church. An open minded liberal such as yourself should know better than to criticize another's religion.

You are completely missing the point. This has to do with a lack of common decency. The rudeness is simply exacerbated by religious undertones (which is why short-sighted people subsequently project cases like these across the whole spectrum of religion). The point remains that there will inevitably be extremists who give [insert religion/ideology] a bad name, and it is right to call these people ignorant.
People need to realize sympathy and respect should be universal concepts (among others), separate but not necessarily mutually exclusive to, religious ideas.

Not to worry, buddy. I'm sure everyone knows that people like this don't represent the church as a whole. Everyone should realize that churches work wonders for the community and, thus, the economy.

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I don't go to this church. An open-minded blogger like yourself should know better than to think otherwise. Seems simple enough to me.

i know. I actually think it bothers me more than average people when this stuff comes out because it is me and other ministers or church goers that get grouped in with this junk!

Voila! And, for the record, I called people like this morons, not ignorant. Very well-stated.

If you don't go, then why do you feel compelled to criticize a church's beliefs?I don't see how calling priests, bishops, etc. "morons" because they believe a certain way is in any way productive.

With your position, I can understand why it gets to you. It's like this with all groups. You'll always have some extremists.

You're talking in plural. Is this not narrow-minded as well? If you agree that Obama supporters shant receive communion, then that's fine. I'll put you in the same classification as the gentleman in the article. The point is, attention needs to be drawn to the insanity that often times lay in even places of sanctity.

I don't agree or disagree. I'm not Catholic.
All I'm saying is that one person's "insanity" is another's religion. The part I find funny is you are being intolerant because you see the Church as being intolerant.
