Why are people suprised?

Bring troops home from Iraq
Send troops to Afgan
Spend billions on infastructure


So now that he is doing it why are people suprised??? That's what they voted for..

The one he hasn't done and I will not vote for him in 2012 if he doesn't is reform health care. As long as we remain the worst system in the civilized world and people still die so the insurance companies can save money(speaking from experience more then a few times). There is no point voting for him.

I hear all the lies about universal healthcare paid for by the right and drug companies and supported by the media but talking to people who have it(and they think it's a shame that America will not help it citizens) it's not even CLOSE to what is shown and what most people believe.

Why should people who have worked harder and achieved more have to pay for it?

If someone is unhappy with their current situation I would suggest they do something to fix it instead of relying on the government to give them other peoples money.

couldnt have said it better myself.... i guess we are in the minority of people who dont want government help... i pay for my healthcare and dont mind doing so. I do not make 250K per year but i dont think those that do should be punished for being achievers...

I agree with you on the healthcare issue. I hope Obama fixes this issue. I dont want government supplied healthcare, but something has to be done. If anyone has ever watched the movie "Accepted", Lewis Black goes on a rant about health care and its GREAT. I cant find a link, but he says something along the lines of "You want Dr. A, they only pay for Dr. B" and "you need your penis fixed, they only fix vaginas". He just goes off, and its so true. Although, those arent the only issues with our current healthcare crisis, they are pretty inportant.

I know that people who make more will end up paying more, but I dont think they should have to pay more percentage wise. Its not fair to punish those who have succeeded, just because they are successful and there are people out there who arent. Remember, in the Declaration of Independence it says "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", not "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness (but if you succeed we will tax you more)".

The main problem with health care is the cost. I think they way to fix the cost is to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.

The main reason it is so expensive is the insurance premiums these doctors have to carry to cover themselves in case of an accident.

Every one is so quick to sue in this country it really aggravates me.

I truly believe that eliminating frivolous lawsuits would solve a tremendous amount of problems. Most of the reason doctors salaries have to be so high is to afford malpractice insurance, which is through the roof because people sue if their doctor doesn't give them a lolly pop after the visit

This relly ticks me off when people who think that socialism is simply when someone wants the rich to pay more taxes than the poor. WELL YOU'RE WRONG. If you have not studied socialism and just go based off of what the media tells you it is, then look it up wourself and stop relying on others. If one is in favor of socialism, he doesn't want higher taxes for the rich, he wants government control of EVERYTHING!!!!!! Higher taxes is not socialism, GONVERNMENT CONTROL IS!!!!!!!!
