in 18 minutes he was able to lose the game for the Pistons all by himself for poor decision making...

yeah, he lost it, sure. totally, yup. al lby himself, just his fault, nobody elses. gotcha.

j/k i dont want to get into an argument. i do have to give you the benefit of the coubt, looking back on that thread you were the one who said iverson wouldnt be productive with detroit. however, i dont think you can soley blame him, i i dont think that the pistons are using him right, however, you did call this.i just dont want to see all these dumb threads abt iverson being the reason they dont win the championship this year. he didnt ask to go to detroit.

they wouldnt of won a championship regardless, they wouldnt be able to beat the Lakers if they made it to the finals...

The only thing Iversons done well is give Stuckey the ability to show his skill and show he will be the PG of this team for years to come

The Pistons are a very systematic team....if they find 'average' guys that will fit their system, they can turn them into superstars. Look at Rip, Chauncey, Big Ben, Rasheed, etc. None of those guys were really doing much before they went to Detroit, but those guys fit the Pistons style. And every one of them turned into an All-Star as some point in their careers while in Detroit.

As much as I hate the Pistons, they know what they're doing. AI was never a good fit, and any true Pistons fan knew that from day one....but this was really Detroit's only possible option of opening up the books for 2010 when the big names are available.

you made my day finding that thread, i'm saving that so i can always refer to it when someone says i didnt call it...lol

heck the 4 guys you named all became all stars in the same year together! I mean they took a player who i never heard of Wil Bynum, and made him a good reserve player..

Dumars is a great GM, and knows how to build a team..

This move was made for 2010, and that was the only reason, i believe he knew Iverson wouldnt fit

He didnt ask to go to Detroit, but he can still help Detroit if he wants to. He's still an explosive player and can create a spark, he's now on a team where he doesnt need to shoot the ball 40 times. There are others around him that can score. If he plays his role the Pistons could be tough to deal with. But causing distractions and such wont help.

41% FG shooting is his average this season. Awful.

yea, I think pretty much everyone saw this coming.

But again, it really doesnt matter much anyway. Iverson will leave Detroit after this season, and Im pretty sure Detroit is not too bummed about losing him either.

Pistons need to start rebuilding with Prince, Rip and Stuckey.

Whereever Iverson goes, there is no way he will ever be close to winning a championship again, unless he chooses to sacrifice himself.
