wow heated thread lol, maybe hiller had a bad game because he has played 20 of the past 21 games the most he has played in his career in a row and he finally got burnt out. cant say he is suprising everyone, as at the all star break he was second in the league in gaa and 3rd in save %, and he is the sole reason the ducks got into the playoffs, as he was in net for 2 of the ducks 3 runs. was san jose choking a suprise absolutely not, would it be a shocker if detroit loses this series as anaheim is an 8th seed, but historically in anaheims point of view detorit has not been able toget past them in the playoffs, i believe the ducks are 6-2 at the joe. as for goalie equipment well 6-3 9 goals dont think the equiptment played much of a role in that one :) and the goals being scored in this series in my opinion have been very weak ones on both goalies. the wings will lose because of osgood, that is the only way they can lose. the ducks can only win because of hiller/giggy. not saying osgood is terrible or nothing like that, just that is the only way i can see the wings lose this series is if osgood struggles.

Osgood Struggled this season but still ended 26-9-0-8
If the Wings lose, its because they didnt score enough to bail out Osgood....just like during the reg season

The real question is how good would Detroit have been had Osgood been half way decent this year?

I dont understand what you guys are talking about...aside from one weak goal (the 2nd perry goal) and maybe 1 other goal in the playoffs...Id say osgood has played amazing...why would you say otherwise?

from he goals i have seen i just think osgood should have had a couple more, mind u pp goals and a triple ot shot that looks to have been redirected, u can't really help. i think a lot of the goals against hiller have been soft, lidstoms winner, the 2 in game 3, a lot in game 4 lol. i just dont think osgood has looked amazing this series, a lot of routine shots, sure he has made some great saves too, i am not putting him down, just my opinion that some goals have looked weak to me. but there is a reason i am not an nhl goalie :P

Speaking of Luongo, those "LUOOOO" chants after every 60 foot dump in are pretty annoying.

same
exactly. rookie vs grizzled vet and the rookies doing better with a worse team. and i too am leaving cause its pretty obvious that you think that detroit is the best team on the face of the earth and all their players are gods
