Granted I want the Wings to win this series....or I should say the Sucks to lose this series, but what is going to happen when you face a real team next round....instead of the 7th and 8th seed.....

Well who did the Ducks beat? I think they beat the team that most thought was the best team in the league. As the number one seed couldn't even truly put a fight up.
Seeding means nothing and anyone that uses that argument is crazy imo. Is it a barometer yes but the Ducks have a great team. As they won a Cup when a few years ago. It all about who comes together during the playoff run. As the seeding does not reflect the whole season. As you have factors such as to players being called up from the farm teams, a hot goalie or perhaps one that takes over like (varlamov or hiller), injuries thru the season which hurts their overall standings, trades of new additions, holdouts, and the list goes on and on.

might I add that these vancouver and chicago teams have never won anything and have virtually no stanley cup winners on their teams

yeah but its laughable to think San Jose was the best team going into the playoffs, they were the number one seed because of their first half and then struggled the last two months of the season. Anyone who saw them play weeks before the playoffs knew Anaheim was the far superior team going in against S.J.

Thats funny if the wings beat the ducks they will 100% go to the finals neither vancouver or the hawks have any real chance, anybody who says otherwise is lying to themselves. The only team who has any chance against the wings was Boston and they won't even make the next round.

Never count a team until the round is over. In sports anything is possible.

The thing is just because they struggled it did effect their seeding. So just addressing cssports comment when they face a real team. As by that logic that would give Merit to San Jose being a real team and any 7th or 8th see is not a real team. Of course that takes none of the factors that can effect your regular season play.

Yeah...like that would ever happen...with a bunch of unproven's and a 36 year old goalie with 3 years of NHL experience who has never won anything.
