hey hey whats wrong with the Rangers! But i dont know, I would pick someone else to start collecting, because the Rangers seem to be a team nowdays where players come to fail. Seriously, name anyone who was picked in a trade by the Rangers and shined here probably since Messier. I don't even know if they will give him a shot here, i dont really know why they picked him up. They had a 30 goal scorer that they scratched most of last season even after putting up decent numbers in the games he was playing in. This is the reason I dont really collect much of players and mostly go for the team, because the Rangers have basically been a retirement home for old stars and jumping board for young players who get traded for old timers the minute they start showing some drive and ambition.

I'd choose someone new. Certainly would be tough for me to collect anyone on the rags.

Most likely will only collect his rookie year cards then stop collecting him.

This was going to be my advice.....just try to finish off your Boyle - Kings PC and move on to someone new.

It's a really tough call.

My guess is that even if you try and keep going (aside from whatever else you still need from the Rookie year stuff) you're going to have a hard time to really get into it.

If you do drop him..... I'd stronly suggest you move onto someone that you figure you would probably keep going with, even if he was traded.

yeah i realize boyle is turning into a bust. I like him but i just can't see myself collecting a non king. my next PCs - Voinov and Loktionov - both have bright futures and should hopefully pan out to be better than boyle. still want input

My final input would be finish collecting Boyle in a Kings Uni, then begin a new PC when you can.

I would say it all depends on how much you like Boyle regardless of the team he plays for. Will you always be a fan no matter where he plays and enjoy your collection of his rookies? Or, do you think you were mainly a fan because he played for the Kings and now feel that he has suddenly become a regular another fish in the pond?

IMO, if you will continue being a fan no matter where he plays, stick with it. Some people are fans of players because of how they play and don't care about which team they play for (I've been a fan of Belfour since he was a rookie with Chicago and stuck with him). If seeing Boyle in another jersey will bother you, maybe it's time to make some changes.

With that said, at least his rookies are still in Kings uniforms.

There are a few factors you have to look into.

1). With all you have put into the PC, how much of a "hit
would it be to stop collecting him.

2). Is there another player that you would rather collect?

3). What about the option of collecting a team instead of just a player who could be traded..

4). How much is it about where (in this case Boyle) was traded to a team. Do you like the player, or just the players team. What is the percentage? Like 80 percent about the team and 20 about the player.

Just things to think about.
Sucks that it happened though.

great points for sure, I started with Islanders but with all the crappy isle cards (Yashin ) I had to open a new PC, enforcers and then even branched to HOFers. If you really like the player keep collecting him but allways keep in mind there are other great ways to enjoy the hobby...Personal Collections are just that, something that you truly enjoy having and therefore tears at your soul when someone tries to trade for them, sounds to me like it is tearing your soul bud.

hey hey, i don't like all this negativity about the rangers. as for the boyle situation, i would keep collecting him if u really like him, but if u just liked him when he was on la, then i would look for someone else.
