Reid apologizes for 'no Negro dialect' comment
Isn't it amazing how Democrats get away with racial comments? What if a Republican had said this?
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as "light skinned" and "with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one." Obama is the nation's first African-American president. What is even more disturbing is the only reason Reid came out with the information is because he is selling a new book. The hypocrisy and double-standards that Democrats live by is mind boggling.

Tells you you do not need to have brains to be a majority leader for the democratic party. Hate to hear their minority leader.
Yes, there are some not so smart republicans.

Wow. My mom is around his age and hasn't used the term "Negro" in all the years I've lived with her (20+). That's like calling an Asian person an "Oriental" - who uses that nowadays?

The people running our country today grew up in the time when it was OK to say stuff like that. And most of them have spent most of their lives securely locked away from the grime and filth that us common people oozed out of, flicking their caviar tins down at us from the vulgar opulence of their ivory towers, so it's no surprise they're out of touch with reality. And for them, "black" really means "ghetto." It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
What IS funny, however, is when Michael Steele said he practically had to assure his fellow Republican elites that he wasn't going to grow horns and eat them to keep them from hyperventilating at the mere sight of him.
"I mean, I've been in the room and they've been scared of me. I'm like, 'I'm on your side,' and so I can imagine going out there and talking to someone like you, you know, [you're like,] 'I'll listen.' And they're like 'Well.' Let me tell you."

Really? The last time a Republican even came close to talk like this he was forced to set down.
Political controversy ensued following remarks Lott made on December 5, 2002 at the 100th birthday party of Sen. Strom Thurmond of South Carolina. Thurmond ran for President of the United States in 1948 on the Dixiecrat (or States' Rights) ticket. Lott said: "When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We’re proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over the years, either."[13]
He was giving a speech for a man that was dying, but Democrats took it and forced his resignation. That's called hypocrisy and double standard. When a Republican makes any comment Democrats pull out all the stops and act outraged. When a Democrat does it it is swept under the carpet. Anyone remember this? Ex KKK clansman who is the Sr Most Democrat and STILL in power.
