Met Detroit Red Wings' goaltender, Jimmy Howard, and forward, Valtteri Filppula, at a paid signing they were doing at the DC Sports store out at the Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights,MI tonight. Got both of them to sign a puck each.

Dang nice job at the Granderson event. I went to it 2 years ago where it was disorganized and a mess. Nice to see this event was organized well from seeing your results. I would of gone to it last year but a blizzard on the weekend of that event kept me from going. I wish I knew you were going I could of sent you a ton of stuff I needed Cleaves and Jeff Grayer on. Just wondered how many did Mateen sign for people at once??? Any chance the Jeff Grayer auto is for trade???

Thanks. The event did seem organized. And yeah, Mateen pretty much signed whatever was placed in front of him and did multiples. But no, the Jeff Grayer signed card isn't for trade. I wish I could of brought more items as well, but being my first time attending the event, I didn't know what to expect.

Detroit Pistons' shooting guard, Ben Gordon, made an appearance at the Meijer store out in Fraser,MI today. Got Ben to sign a basketball and Meijer Pistons 8 1/2 x 11 promo photo for me.

Thanks. I'll be going to the last two Gordon appearances as well, but sorry, I won't be taking any 50/50.

Nope, didn't need help, Ben signed 2 per person. And no, I won't be attending the Kirk Gibson signing, it's a little far for what I want to travel just for autographs.

Decided to do some graphings at the hotels for the first time ever, so dropped by the hotel where the Orlando Magics stayed. Got the following players as they were boarding the bus to the game:

Brandon Bass - 1/1 trading card

Rashard Lewis - 1/1 trading card

Dwight Howard - 1/1 trading card (he got mobbed by everyone once he came out, signed for as many as he could though he didn't sign for everybody, and went around using the same paint pen to sign everybody's items)

I decided last minute last night to graph the Magics today, so didn't have anything ready except cards to get signed. Ryan Anderson signed, but I didn't get him. The rest of the Magics just ignored autograph requests as they board the bus. Despite being my first time graphing at the hotels and in cold temperature, I thought I did pretty well. Can't beat getting the autograph of one of the more fan friendly superstars in the league today.

Nice on Howard. Just wondered out of curiosity, how many people were up at that hotel for Howard today??? I heard the first time they came through town on the day of the game earlier in the season, there was 50 people up there for Howard...
