I love the Canadiens and the Penguins.

I like the Blue Jackets because of Voracek, the Hawks because of Hossa, the Lightning because of Guy Boucher.

There is one team I can't stand and it's the Maple Leafs.

    favorite teams:

east - rangers - from nyc, grew up watching them, collect Henrik Lundqvist
west - avalanche - loved watching sakic, roy, and forsberg play together back then. when playoffs start now, i root for my east and west teams.

    soft spot:

detroit (currently) - hated detroit when they were rivals with the Avs in the 90s. it's fun watching them now when Zetterberg and Datsyuk are skating circles around everyone.

    disliked teams:

    flyers - self explanatory
    devils - self explanatory
canadiens - not sure if it's the team or the fans :P

Grew up in Edmonton from the WHA days through the Gretzky era and even the lean times of the 90s, so I'll always be an Oilers fan.

Outside of them, of course the Wings as I cheer for and collect Chris Osgood.

In the East, I'll cheer for Montreal since they were my "NHL team" before the Oil joined in '79

Disliked teams: The Flames. Simple rule, living in Edmonton: ABC -- Anyone But Calgary

    Favorite teams:
Edmonton Oilers: born and raised in the 80s to mid 90s and been to many games. There will never be a dynasty like what they had in 80s.

Toronto Maple Leafs: always had a soft spot for them while I lived near Edmonton. Once I moved to Leafs region, they quickly grew on me. Living in Belleville kind of sucks since it`s barely on the border of the Sens region and if both teams are playing that night, guess which game is on my tv?!

    Soft Spot:
    Kings, Pens, Avs

Enjoy watching lose (I don’t hate anybody):
    Sabres, Flyers, Sens, Bruins, Caps

Have to say there was a dynasty like the Oil in the '80s....Islanders. 4 in a row, toughness, speed, skill and timely goaltending. Bossy/Kurri, Trottier/Messier, Smith/Fuhr, Potvin/Coffey, Bourne/Anderson, Morrow/Lowe, Nystrom/couldn't touch him and Gretzky...stood alone.

Islanders by far for me in the East. As a born and bred 'Nuck, old one at that...have been an Isles fan since '78. No one else ever came close allthough I was a Hab's fan for about 3 years because all you saw on CBC was the bleu, blanc, rouge.

as for the west....I guess....no one. Least of all Calgary and Edmonton because that is all you hear about in Alberta. Can't stand the Maple Laughs or Hab nots. I guess Winnipeg was my favorite.

The Isles certainly had a great dynasty as well throughout the '80s. But what I was saying is that we will never see a dynsaty like the Oilers had from here on.
