The Tigers did their job as well today Steve. a 8-1 Tigers win to move into a share of first place with Cleveland. Scherzer went 7 innings giving up only 1 run. Offense was great, 2 run bomb by Peralta, 2 triples by Jackson, 3 hits each for Martinez/Boesch, just a very well played game. Benoit pitched the 8th and Purcey the 9th and a nice win.
Scherzer with his 8th win on the season and 6 runs off Pineda, the most he's given up all season. Tommorow is Porcello vs King Felix, gonna be a low scoring game i'd imagine

Loss today :(
Porcello got a couple of big defensive mishaps and 3 runs scored, it was 2-0 going into the 5th, a flyball that 3 people could've got but nobody called for it allowed the then go-ahead run..bullpen served a few meatballs to make sure there was no shot to come back, atleast Cleveland lost though.
Tommorow Coke vs Cobb in a makeup game vs Tampa. This Cobb kid is apparantly tipping his pitches, if he hasnt fixed that, he'll get rocked tommorow. Got my broom out as the Tigers had the 1st two games of the series

Saw that play, the outfielder got a late jump, but I thought the shortstop could've had it.Porcello's statline wasn't that bad 7 innings 6 hits and 3 runs,he deserved a better fate.

7 innings actually but yea, he pitched great, the defense between that play and having Figgins out trying to steal second, but letting the ball get away caused 2 of the runs to score in my opinion..
Oh well, Seattle just had the Tigers number for some reason, but they are done with Seattle for the year..after the makeup game tommorow its 3 home games vs Cleveland, best chance to play them all year

Go Yankees one more time, Steve!
Ordonez was activated from the DL last night and Enrique "I serve meatballs to everyone" Gonzalez was sent back to Toledo (Thankfully).
He finally has his swing back going if his rehab games in Toledo are any indication. Yes its AAA ball, but I'm encouraged to see him able to pull balls which he wasnt able to do before hitting the DL.
