I didn't know team bags broke the bank...

I guess tape is REALLY cheap isn't it....

I use team bags. I also add in a decoy for thinner cards to make sure there's no bending. None of it breaks the bank and I'd rather put all chances on my side to avoid returns.

When the top of the top loader is open, your card is always in danger. A team bag does not always stop a card from sliding out of the toploader and getting hammered inside the envelop. It's happened to me before on a few occasions.

I'd rather the opening of the top loader be taped, that way I'm sure it won't come out.

Use painting tape. Comes off easy unlike regular tape, is just as safe, cheap and doesn't leave traces on the top loader.

sjw241 - Sounds like the biggest problem that you are having on ebay, is that you are selling to allot of morons. I believe somebody posted that most of the low 1's and 2's come from sales under $25. I think it's more accurate to say that 95% of your 1's and 2's come from the bottom-feeders who never have spent more then $5 on an auction-win.

The bottom-line is this, if as a bidder you know ahead of time that the shipping is $4, $5, $8 and the person only spends $2 - then suck it up and deal with it! Either take your win and be happy or don't bid and take your money somewhere else.

What this really comes down to, is allot of the low-end buyers out there are cheap ***. They are simply not happy enough that they just won a $40 card for $3.25, they have to win on the shipping end of things too. What about the cost of driving to the Post Office - especially if it's not right next door to where you live?

Between ebay's DSR's and Paypal's bogus chargebacks, ebay has apparently already lost close to 15% of it's sellers within the past two years. Personally speaking, I just got another chargeback yesterday for $50 and no surprise, it comes from Quebec.

5x chargebacks in the past year and a half and all five have come from Quebec.

Agree with this completely.

Furthermore, even if you send me a clean top loader.... who says that's how I want to store the card? Don't worry about it.

Myself, I use tap and a team bag.

Considering it costs $2.99 to go buy a pack of 25 top loaders, it's not like these are a really expensive thing. I keep a couple of packs on hand all the time.... and if I get taped up top loaders, I move the card to a clean one, and the taped one goes into my box of shipping materials.

Don't get me started on bogus chargebacks. I had a huge thread about Quebec not long ago. I've had over 30 chargebacks all from Quebec! No where else! I have a strict policy now for shipping to Quebec. A lot of them don't like it, but I don't like getting ripped off!

Something bizzare is going on now, my shipping and handling DSR went down and I haven't had any new feedback left. How the H*** does that happen? If anyone knows please tell me! Went from 4.93 to 4.88 and nobody left feedback! That is impossible! Someone has to leave feedback to leave DSRs. I think Ebay screw with the numbers to try and get sellers to ship for free.

I normally ship for free to both USA and Canada. It costs me the same a few bucks but I'm in Detroit. That being said in all my sales I have had 1 charge back from Canada ( Quebec) which paypal paid both of us as I had tracking and I'm preferred paypal customer, powerseller, and top rated on ebay.

That being said I currently have 150 cards on my watch list to buy in the next 6 days(I maybe insane for having that many on my watch list) 90% are from Canada as I'm a hockey guy only. I don't mind $4 or under for shipping and never had a bad experience with Canadien sellers. (especially if it's a card I want and I've been looking for it for a while) Normally I'm a repeat customer and the seller sometimes will though extra Red Wings in for a nice surprise.
