starting to hate panini

i went to my lcs today to buy some cards but. if i dont have tleast 200 dollars to spend i cant buy anything. this company is starting to aggravate me with their stupid sticker autos an manufactured patches. not every one has 200 bucks to buy he black box or 17 dollars to buy a pack and pull crappy cards. and i bought so many season updates im tired of seing them. i miss upper deck, fleer,topps and skybox. i would say lets all get together and run this company into the ground but knowing(bad word here) well nobody is going to stop buying their product. i started collecting again this year after like a 7 year break and i was very excited to start again. thats why i joined this forum, to make new friends and do some trading. but im starting to loose interest cuz of this retarted company. idk sorry for the rant

Just stick to buying singles if you don't like the new products. Since I started buying singles a few years ago, I've been much more happy with the hobby. I stopped buying boxes for many of the same reasons you mentioned.

Mate i live in the UK, so i cant just go to a card shop .. ive never busted a box, never had the chance.... but like tarheel said, just collect singles ... its what i do :) Instead of dropping 100bucks on a box .... why not start a new PC and pick up as many cards as possible for 100 bucks .. much more fun imo !

I hear ya! I know Im just one collector but I have stopped buying Panini boxes/packs all together. Ill buy Golf or wrestling cards before I buy Panini again. I even try to buy or trade for real Donruss/Leaf/Playoff (pre-Panini), UD and Topps instead of Panini every chance I get. Unfortunately sometimes thats all some traders have so I have been getting a few of the newer products that way. There is nothing like cracking a pack and finding stuff like A MJ G/Ud, or in your case a Reggie Miller you need, or in my case a Dirk or Denver Nugget I need. Buying singles is great and all, but pulling it is 100x more gratifying and satisfying imo. I was just thinking about finding out how to start an online petition and if it would be possible to try and present this to NBAPA/NBA's head office and/or Panini and getting some long needed change. Down with Panini, long live UD and Topps! I think Panini needs to drop the Donruss/Limited product names too because they cant live up to the original, or even hold a candle to them really.

Id like to buy singles but my card shop dosent have a good selection on basketball and i hate buying cards online. We need to start a anti panini movement i know its along shot but im willing to try i will help with the petirions if needed. Cuz im tired of buying over priced panini products. I dont really want to stop collecting since i just started and ive met great new friends in this forum. Lets start a anti panini movement whos with me? And thanks for the replys guys. I just have to agree. Panini's product is garbage. All of their product looks and feels the same. Their GU are not really impressive. I've been collecting a long time and there was nothing better than going to a card show and having a difficult time deciding what box to buy. Choosing between UD or E-X or Fleer or Metal etc.
