I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Kobe AUs /99. I'd rather my Kobe AU be un-numbered vs that high for a premier player.

No one is forcing you to buy panini! Go buy some older upper deck products.

That's why I let other suckers open the boxes and just buy singles of the guys I collect from them.

You should petition your card shop or open yourself up to the tons of UD and Topps selections available online for the very players you collect.

I think when Panini's contract is up, we the collectors should be allowed to vote on who we prefer. If Panini thinks they're all that, then they have nothing to worry about, right?

Glad people are starting to dislike Panini. I hated them since day one. Nothing has changed and they have not changed my mind. In honesty, they have made some stuff that I would not mind having e.g. the Kevin Johnson & Birdman autos in Notable Nicknames, the Taj Gibson National Treasures, some of the new Bulls autos in Gold Standard. However, I still find myself not wanting to put money into their terrible basketball card division/company directly or indirectly, so I hold back.
As to the OP, lots of people share your distaste for Panini sandwiches, so hang in there, we are all waiting patiently and hopefully for UD or Topps to enter the game again.
P.S. Your non-Panini singles are on the way.

I used to spend about 65% of my card budget on basketball and in the past two years I spent less than $3,000 on basketball since Upper Deck no longer has a license. This past season I spent less than $750 on basketball and wish I hadn't spent that.
After busting Panini, I said "I don't need any of this", moved on to Upper Deck hockey.
Like others mentioned I waited and bought a John Wall auto on eBay for less than the price of one box this year and last year waited and bought a Kobe auto same place.
Black, Gold, nothing but a waste in my opinion.
Right now I doubt I spend $250 on Panini basketball for this coming season if they even have a season.
Pretty sad for the collectors and hobby.

I may be in the minority here but I like some of what panini offers. I liked the 09/10 panini offering as well as adrenalyn xl, and donruss. I am also looking forward to the panini nba hoops offering this season. That being said competetion makes a better product and I would love to see topps and ud make cards again.
