Rosters updated. Jannik Hansen announced earlier today that if it's up to him, he's going to represent team Denmark at the 2012 IIHF World Championship.
Jim Howard would be a solid addition to the American roster. Same with Kesler and Ballard. Let's see if the Canucks will let them play at the tournament.

Sweden's roster has been updated and Finland's roster has been added.

The Swedes have some talent, but I don't see a great deal of depth. That could change quickly with the Canucks being eliminated, depending on what the Sedins and Edler do.
Tough to say much about the Finns because I'm not familiar with several of those players, but they look like they could use some help up front.
Canada could really use a d-man like Dan Boyle, although I'm not sure he'd accept an invitation. He fits well in the international game. I don't suppose Letang will join, either.

Darren Dreger from TSN tweeted this a short time ago
"Will Crosby play for Can at the Worlds? Is he healthy enough? Team Can gm, K. Lowe will find out today or tomorrow. If healthy he should go."

Could Schneider play for the US?

He would definitely be an upgrade over Richard Bachman. I've been watching for any announcements, but I'd guess we'll hear nothing on any Canucks or Penguins until at least tomorrow. Still lots of time to get over there and practice with the team.
The Canucks could strengthen the Sweden and U.S. rosters.

I would think the Sedins, at least Daniel, would skip this year. It's one thing to come back from a concussion like that for the playoffs, but he could just be looking for some well deserved rest.
I could be wrong, and I imagine Edler will go.

I agree with you on Daniel, and I'd really like to see him skip the tournament. Not because I don't want Sweden to do well, but because he's a great player and it's not worth jeopardizing his health going forward. It's the same reason that I'd rather not see Crosby play for Canada.
I like Edler a lot, he just had a bad series. Hopefully he can get over that one.

I don't think Howard will suit up. He was playing through an injury with his catching hand. He should be taking a rest.
I can see Schneider playing in net for the US.
Pretty sure the Sedins, and Kesler will be taking it easy for this off-season.
Best bet is Ballard and Booth. They need to play more and play a lot better.

Would be nice to see Bieksa in a TC Jersey and keeping the Europes honest when they think about one-handed Hockey.
