US looks weak, but you can tell they went with speed on D. I'm pretty sure all those guys are really good skaters.

I'm surprised by how many Bruins decided to join their countries. They've played a ton of hockey in the past year, but I guess they don't want their season to end just yet.

Daniel Alfredsson has confirmed he will play for team Sweden. Erik Karlsson is likely to be playing for team Sweden as well though I don't have confirmation of that.

    Very awesome to see!

If Canada is knocked out, i'll be cheering for the Swedes.

Also as per the Edmonton Oilers twitter:

Jordan Eberle scored the game-tying goal & the shoot-out winner while Devan Dubnyk was named 'player of the game' today vs. the Swiss. #IIHF.

    Yaaay!

So what? If you're a hockey player, you love to play hockey. Representing your country is one of the biggest honours there is, so I'm not surprised by the choices the Bruins players have made regarding the World Championship.

These players love hockey and love to represent their countries but I can also see them wanting to take some time off to mentally and physically recuperate. The Bruins played 107 games last season and what, 89 games this season. That's a lot of hockey and it showed up toward the end of the season. It seems like the players' bodies started to break down towards the end of the season.

Just looked on nhl.com and it mentions that Subban is out with a knee injury:

Very unfortunate for the Canadian team. Hopefully they can still win gold this year! I'm cheering for Denmark, and I also love to cheer on the Finns... but Canadians are 3rd, hands down! Haha.

Burrows can skate and he can play a checking/agitating role. Like him or not, he brings a skill set this team doesn't have a lot of at all.
