whoever says this product does not have return value need to recheck their numbers.

If you pulled John Moore's Cup Black 1/1, what would it fetch? Maybe 300-400$?

His Titanium RC /4 just sold for 900$ today (pulled by slypig here on SCF).

ANy of the real RCs are selling THROUGH THE ROOF, the value is there in this product, its Panini's best so far

Ugh, I want to buy a box, but I'm spending big bucks on my Winter Classic tickets this week. Guess I will wait :( Maybe the next big hit!

I think its getting the hype because I havent seen a brutally awful awful box. Like SPA and SPGU, you can get literally 10-20 bucks back, but it seems Titanium has 1-2 hits in every box. Ive seen SPA with 3 no name rookies that sell for 3 bucks and a Melrose auto or something, brutal, or SPGU where the "hit" is a triple patch with 1 color each.

Just my opinion for $100 it looks like a super fun break that people feel they cant get completely, completely shafted on.

Anyone that is mouthing the value of the product has no basis to do so. This product has amazing value. The reason I won't be buying this product is the design/lack of creativity.

That is a very fair argument.

I don't get why there is so much complain about the product at times.

    Too many stickers? Really guys?

Although, not a direct comparison, Titanium brings a lot of similarities as SPGU.

SPGU is by far one of the worst.

Titanium offers a hit per pack exactly like SPGU.

It has a better chance of hitting nicer cards (with the exception of the really nice 8 way or whatever patches).

It offers sticker autos exactly like SPGU.

And don't forget, it is HALF the price of SPGU and you get better value in return (at worst you get the same return as a box SPGU, but you are spending half the amount).

Please do note: Titanium is not meant to be a "high-end" product. It is a mid-tier.

UD offers only a few products with hard signed cards: SPA, Ultimate, Cup

Panini does the same: Contenders (SPA competition), Prime (Ultimate and previous Premier competition), Dominion (Cup competition), as well as they have products scattered around like Crown and upcoming Anthology

Titanium isn't meant to be one of those. It is a great product compared to some of other stuff out there. Do tell me what other stuff offers a box for $100 or so that yields you this many hits, a chance to chase a high-end low #d rookie (this is lowest #ed rookie you will ever see of a true rookie), patches, autos, etc.

When I saw the previews for this product I wasn't that impressed. Once I saw the breaks here, online and in person my mind definitely changed. I really like how rare it is for the true RC's and they are fetching good coin. That's good for the hobby. There are cards that need to be rare and have $ value.

For $100 - the amount of the hits u get it a great value with the "chance" to hit a megahit RC is awesome.

And yes, all the UD vs Panini rants are so annoying and boring. We are here for the cards, just be happy we can be in a great hobby like this.

This I think is the biggest reason why Titanium is such a huge hit to me. There is no other product out there, including The Cup, in which I'll sell a Keith Kinkaid rookie for 120$ and a Tim Erixon for almost 100$. Add to that st least one good hit per box, often more than one, and you get a solid product for 100$ a box. It's my favorite product of 11/12 so far.

A 1/1, no matter how cool, is never a true rc. That is what is so hot with Titanium, and was already back in the day, that Kovalchuk titanium true rc numbered to /17 must have been super super hot.

I'd imagine especially the lower numbered will be the ones keeping value. Even if RNH is cool, it's almost out of /100, and there is more and will be more true rookies of his in the same low print.

Let's not exaggerate every box is great though, most boxes won't have a casehit rookie, and there are plenty of boxes that don't have big hits at all. Just trying to take down the hype a little bit... don't fool folks into buying and thinking they'll hit gold. But if you buy around 4 boxes, I reckon it's nearly impossible to not hit at least one very very good card, and that is not many products that can deliver today.

My take on Titanium overall though, I'm not as thrilled as the rest, hitwise. valuewise, it's hard to beat for $100, and it's hard to think about why we pay so much for other stuff when we can get this value for $100. BUT:

I'm not one who only think of hits and value, but design, looks and collectibility. In that, Titanium disappoints me a bit.

    1) The normal jerseycards, definitely better than average junk you see in bd, spgu, certified etc. Nothing to really love either though, kind of dull.

    2) Perhaps a bit too few versions of cards, when you've seen a couple of breaks online you've seen it all. There's the rookies, a few auto versions, jerseys, patch versions, quads. Could have been a little bit more, perhaps with sticks or something else.

    3) Basecards. Too plain and grey, I love the red parallells, it got a metal foil finish, if the normal base had that I would have loved this to death. Now they fall flat. However, they're better than I initially though., how someone really deeply looked at the base? Player photo good positioned, logo well done, the fading down the line is tasteful, the bottom line itself got a bit old rusty metal feeling. Flip the card and you got a different player photo, and... I discovered an hour ago, opposite jersey. If the player got home jersey on front photo, he got away jersey on the back photo, and vice versa. I've checked every basecard I got and it's the same on all! An incredibly cool feature most probably miss, and it really show what an effort Panini puts into it. Go check right now! For those few who actually wants a basecard of their fav player, this must be ultracool.

Regardless though, as there are, they're too dull. Which means base and base jerseys aren't very thrilling, leaving 2-3 hits to be happy about. For me that is not enough to say this is the best product of the year overall. Hitwise yes, design wise no. Smalltime criticism though, still like it, and it's incredibly good for the money.

Where is jonpop btw? He loves to bash "Junkini", haven't seen him : ) Did he choke?
