Base jerseys will be what they are. For as long as Panini has the Prime/Patch system in place, you likely won't see much more than your standard swatch on the regular ones. And that's fine, they will still attract some attention from collectors. I think that by keeping the memorabilia versions rather limited, they're able to focus on creating higher quality pieces without it getting into Artifacts/Luxury Suite territory where every piece of fabric/stick combination imaginable gets a card.

What makes some of the cards so appealing in Titanium are those Prime & Patch variants. That's where they money's going to be found. I've locked down all the Prime versions that I intend to for this set, and they're just majestic. Why? Because Panini went out secured another rare jersey to make us Carey Price collectors happy. Which one? Only his 2009 All Star Game jersey! And thanks to the dual patch card I just picked up today, I know that Panini's got an 09-10 Josh Gorges jersey. How? Centennial shoulder patch!

I'm still waiting on my GWG Prime & Patch cards to arrive, of course, so I haven't yet seen how the gold front looks in person. Going that route can be dicey, which is probably why the super gold finish you saw in 05-06 Ultra or 05-06 The Cup doesn't get used too often these days. But hey, for me those cards are primarily about Gorges memorabilia cards because there just aren't a ton of such things out there.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I didn't mean specific players or value hits, or money like you say. The perfect box for me is when it got it all, great base, great inserts, wonderful design etc, AND bring good value. Actually I forgot the inserts, wouldn't have hurt if there had been 1 or 2 inserts in every box, even if they hadn't been valuable, just to bring a little bit more.

So far the only perfect box I've seen is Dominion, it constantly bring 30%-75% money back on average boxes, and the cards are just tremendous looking. But otoh it's very highend, so it's unfair to compare it with Titanium.

To make Titanium perfect, put the metal finish they have on the red parallells, avoid the babypuke color on the patch card parallells, throw in 1-2 inserts too in every box. Then I had loved this product to death, and could have started a few different sets, but I'd gotten ruined too in the process lol.
