You have to remember that NBC stands for Nothing But Crosby. Therefore, they would push hard for Pittsburgh to get Parise. I can't wait until he signs with NJ, Min, or Detroit and all the delusional Pens fans blow up the boards.

Although July 1st makes some teams better - it leads to more players going to UFA...only way they will make crazy $$$ - Most of these players wouldnt get anywhere near this amount if they just signed an extention.....

It's why the CBA needs to change, a lot of these contracts are very front loaded too. I figured Parise would go to Pittsburgh. They will regret it down the road, can't win in the NHL with two lines.

We'll see. But having 6 players tied up with 40 million in cap doesn't seem smart to me. Especially with Letang and Kennedy probably wanting more with their next contract (Letang especially).
