Jup ive been trying a couple years ago buy some cards they relisted over and over again same exact price what a suprise nobody bought them but not gonna pay overprices just because they have low printed ITG cards, and many were expo 1/1 which according to many here arent that interesting and i felt they just wanna earn as much money as possible.. and they have insane amount of cards too sounds greedy to me. And as a collector far from us i would have to deal with customs to on expensive already cards and shipping which already is high after the raise.

Weird - the thread moved in mid typing! Hit 'post quick reply' and everything disappeared!

If I remember correctly, they also have a booth at Expo with the same pricing strategy. I have never been able to pick up a card from them (even tho they have many I'm interested in) because if the exhorbitant pricing. I'm guessing they must be selling something though, or they'd be out of business. I don't get it...

Hello! The seller on ebay : memoriesonice has a TON of awesome cards for sale. I don't believe I have ever bought from them. There are a few cards id like to pick up, but IMO the cards are priced way over. They don't have any best offer options.I believe I would offer over fair value for the cards. I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to negotiate with this seller? Im just trying to get a heads up before I send them a message. Thanks! Brian

The seller has a huge inventory and frankly doesn't care too much if people won't pay his prices. It only takes one, and he usually is able to find that one person. You don't get that high of a feedback rating.

Not so much an issue but one of my PC guys being in the DEL makes it a pain to find his cards since they're blocked by eBay US.

Weight goes up after a certain number of cards. Might need a larger envelope. I can get a single card into a #000 envelope no problem. 5 cards? That's got to be a #0. More loaders, etc.

Make sure your policy is well stated. An additional 4 cards for an additional $5.00 is a little high for my liking. That's probably what they are upset about. Especially if you have not made that clear.

Like RGM says, it all depends on the weight and size of cards. I think I have made clear that I will price combined shipping from case to case.

I think "Combined shipping is possible and will be priced on an individual basis" is pretty clear. Also, the last row in my description is:

"Please contact me with any questions before bidding!"

In Sweden, it costs $4.50 to ship letters weighing less than 100 grams outside Europe and $3.75 inside Europe. If the weight is between 100 and 250 grams it costs $9 and $7.50. Add the toploader(s) and the price of the padded envelope, and I think my shipping prices are fine, compared to what I am usually charged when buying from North America. My three last purchases, all single cards, was $7.95, $6 and $4.95 in shipping costs.

Anyway, what would anyone do in my situation? Lower the shipping price to $5 for 5 cards, try to get the $10 or open up a case and then try to relist the items if the bids are cancelled?

I sold a card to an e-bayer in Poland on October 26, 2013. The buyer paid on October 30, 2013 and I put the card in the mail on October 31, 2013.

The same buyer bought another card from me on November 02, 2013. They have not paid yet so I sent him a quick note asking for them to pay as it is now November 07, 2013.

Their response was that they will not pay until the first card is received. As the first card is going from Canada to Poland it could be at least another 2 weeks before the first card arrives.

    Is this right?

Should I open an item not paid for issue on e-Bay?

    Thanks!

I would. They don't get to set their own rules for when they pay.

I wouldn't open one, the fact that they actually responded to your message means that they will more then likely pay. I don't agree with him waiting tho, however because eBay protects buyers I think your gonna have to wait it out. Plus if he hasn't left feedback for item one, if you open a case it might cause him to give you an unfair feedback. I hate how a guy wins, won't answer your messages yet gets feedback of how he is paying for items from other sellers, meaning he chooses to ignore your messages and dispite winning don't plan on paying.

@aspencer528, regrettably, everything you said is correct. Even though the guy in Poland is in the wrong, expecting to receive the first item before paying for the second, eBay is definitely on his side. The seller really is held hostage by the threat of a (unfair, unwarranted) negative rating, and will probably have to just wait it out. The only thing he really can do, and survive with a 100% positive rating, is to tell the seller to read the 'fine print' again, and that he should have either waited for the second auction to end before paying, or contacted the seller to combine shipping, etc.

eBay figures they have to stay on the buyer's side, to keep people buying (and their profits flowing). The seller is already committed to sell, in their view, so why protect him or her as much?

Call eBay customer service, if you have a good record, they will send the guy a notice and put a footnote in the file of your problems, I did so the other day when I had somebody get obstinate with me because I charged $1.50 for shipping 5 cards to Quebec combined.

I alerted eBay of possible recriminations by the buyer, and was assured that with my impeccable selling record, that they would not allow a negative from him, based on my lower than anyone shipping.
