I can think of two other places to buy singles.... COMC.com and SCF :P

I honestly haven't run into too many problems on eBay in over 4 years and 2600+ feedback. Only come across 2 scammers and a handful of rude sellers. A couple sellers who sent with no top-loaders and then became very rude. Including one seller who called me Rob Ford's Crackhead cousin in my feedback. lol. I wasn't the one who sent damaged cards and IM the crackhead? lol

My rant and vent for the day because Ive never had a problem with paypal or ebay before until now:

So I had an unauthorized purchase (3000$ worth holy smokes!) on ebay . I filed a claim with paypal and told them that I did not authorize the purchase (it was for a dress bought from the UK) and told them that if they look at my prior transactions I have never spent over 200$ and 99% of my purchases are sports card. I spoke with paypal the moment I found out and they said they would take care of it and for me to not worry about it so I didn't.

Fast forward today Paypal DENIES my claim. I phone them in and I ask them for the reason of the denial. GIVES ME SQUAT and says there was no reason specified. So I asked them to transfer me to the disputes and guess what, I get cut off. Because my bank account doesn't have 3000$ they tried to authorize the transaction through my credit card. Too bad my credit card limit is not 3000$ so that also got denied.

I've talked to the bank and credit card company and paypal/ebay is getting none of that 3000$ from any of my banking accounts. I now have huge negative balance in my paypal balance and I cant remove my cards or banking account from the paypal website.

I have contacted the *seller* of the dress letting him know of my situation and that I want to cancel.

Rant over. Thanks for making it this far

I don't seem to have the "print" option on ebay pages to see the accepted selling price. Anyone else having this issue?

I noticed that as well. Maybe ebay took the feature off. Who knows.

I am having the same issue! I noticed it for the first time today and just thought it was weird. That's going to suck if they disabled that feature.

Yeah, print feature seems to be gone. Noticed it earlier this week.

I was surprised they left it there at all. It was like they changed the system to hide final sale prices (only show the asking price) but forgot to remove that feature. I'm guessing it was only there due to oversight, and has now been removed for good.

Nuts. I found it weird that it was still there for so long. As mentioned before, it was most likely an oversight that it got left there at all. I do remember there was a site you could use to search out sales prices. Didn't always work, but it was still helpful. Although, ebay closing this loophole may kill it. Anyone remember what that was?

The site is www.watchcount.com. Put the item number or the entire ebay URL in the keywords field, hit "Show me what's popular" and it should tell you what the item sold for.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Also if everybody promises to keep it a secret, there's another way to do it.

As an example, this is an auction that ended with a best offer:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-O-Pee-Chee-OPC-Wayne-Gretzky-PSA-8-18-Rookie-RC-HOF-Oilers-/141570214478?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f63e 0a4e&rmvSB=true&nma=true&si=aituvfMRs6z%252Bmyghdj E1ZaLXT4Y%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p20476 75.l2557

How much did it sell for... who knows. If you change it to:

    http://item.ebay.ca/itm/1979-O-Pee-Chee-OPC-Wayne-Gretzky-PSA-8-18-Rookie-RC-HOF-Oilers-/141570214478?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20f63e 0a4e&rmvSB=true&nma=true&si=aituvfMRs6z%252Bmyghdj E1ZaLXT4Y%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p20476 75.l2557

... voila, it shows you the sale price. I'm pretty sure that's how watchcount.com scrapes the info (they use co.uk instead of .ca) so I guess it's not really a secret and who knows how long it will be till Feebay decides to stomp that out too, but for now it works.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

On another eBay related note, I just noticed watchcount.com now also has a bidder search like eBay used to have. Of course eBay has also made it next to impossible to find out who has bid on what but it might come in handy if you know the bidder ID you want to check out.
