Well here is the story of all stories when I was about 10, I am 20 years old now. My dad bought me a box of 1994 Upper Deck and I pulled a Michael Jordan baseball RC and I was in the front yard where me and my buddys would gather and trade cards and a neightbor kid who was about 17 then named brian walked up and looked at our cards and said I will trade you for that card. I go to his house and brian opens this binder and tells me he will trade any card in there for my jordan I look he had nolan ryan rcs george brett rcs and all kinds of unbelievable cards which are probably still sitting under his bed today. Well the card that I ended up grabbing was a 1969 Hank Aaron that had 4 bent corners and a crease down the middle, and I still have it today. lol boy I wish I could go back in time.

I didn't lose the card, but right before the Kobe Chrome RC went crazy, I picked one up at a comic shop for $10. It had just gone up to $20 so I was able to pay the full book price that they priced things at since they didin't know it went up. That same month, I flipped it for $22 after it went up to $30 or so...or maybe even as it was still at $20. Little did I know, that only 3-4 months later, that card would be selling for over book as the next monthy beckett was about a week from printing.
Although, for every one card you sell too early, there are 10 that you sell at the right time.

I moved out on my own from my parents and three or four months later I came back to get some stuff that I left securley in the basement which 85% of it was my cards. I didnt look to see if everything was there before I left and didnt notice until about a month later that every KG card that I had about 700 total differnt cards including 50 GU and autos were gone. I have searched my parents house almost every chance that I get trying to find the KG's I misplaced. Ohh and I also had a 1950's Babe Ruth that I lost when I moved when I was about 12 or 13.

really great thread here! Don't have a particular missing card, but I remember when i was a kid, i use to trade cards with older kids on my street. A few times i remember trading like 10 cards for 1. I always thought i was getting a great deal because i was getting more, but to this day, i always wonder what those cards were that i traded away.

Didn't lose a card per say but lost $300.00 because of one. Back in the days when things were going nuts in the hobby I use to work some card shows. Well it just happened that 1 week before a show I busted a box of 91-92 Upper Deck hockey and pulled a Brett Hull auto #0913/2500.
During the show I was approached by this gentlemen and his 2 sons and they inquired about the card which I showed them. He handed the card back to me and asked if I would sale it and I told him that I had not considered it. He then laid down (3) $100.00 bills on the table and offered them to me for the card, after a few minutes of consideration I told him that as a collector I was more concerned about having the card in my collection then having it sold. The wife happen to be there with me that day and to this day I still have the bruise on my leg where she kicked me and also the card is still in my collection with a BV of $60.00.
