1) The legislation barely passed with gimmicks, bribes, and lies about raising taxes among other things.
2) It is going to cost significantly more than originally claimed, which we cannot afford.
3) The legislation would not pass Congress now that we know what is in it and the lies have been exposed.
Are the GOP doing anything illegal? No
Did the GOP get control of the House and purse strings as a response to Obamacare getting shoved down our throats? Yes

Why take this measure? So you can have ANOTHER Year to try and defund/repeal the law? Like the last 40 plus attempts?

Repubs need to take a few more seats in the senate, then they can get it tossed out. That's the tactic they need to focus on.

Everyone needs to stop focusing on tactics and start focusing on governing.
Focusing on tactics is EXACTLY what's driving your nation into the ground.

As a whole, I would probably agree with you. But tactics is not the sole issue. It's a byproduct of allowing the progressives to take hold of both parties. No one can make a decision and get anything done. There is no right or wrong anymore. No one is working for all the people. They are working to remain in power.
We on the right need to cleanse our party. Offer a distinct difference then that of the left. Then there would be a change for good in this country IMO.

No, the tactics have become the bigger problem. It's why the government looks like a group of six year olds who all want the ball. What needs to happen is the "middle" members of both parties need to get together and form a third viable party with actual support. Most of the problems, including the tactics, boil down to a two party system that turns politics into sport.

habs and wick, I would suggest looking into the final bill congress presented, no defunding.

How did I get dragged into defunding talk?

Delaying the individual mandate (which is essential in keeping the premiums down) would derail the whole thing just as easily as defunding it or as would removing the medical device tax. Any GOP sanctioned change to the ACA was never going to succeed. The GOP knew it. They chose to play chicken on the wrong issue despite the damage it was/is causing the country.

The Democratic changes and exemptions are all good though.
