Jay, the system will not work if everyone can opt out. Delaying the start for business has a economic benefit to it. Delaying the start for individuals will result in it not being able to work at all. You know this. I know you do. Why do you insist on denying the obvious?

It's good because everyone has to PAY for their own health care. No longer will the people with HEALTHCARE PLANS have to endure increases in their premiums year after year to pay for the people that refuse to get coverage and use the emergency room as their personal health care plan.

No longer will uninsured people have to put off treatments until illness are too serious to ignore. Quicker intervention will lower health care costs overall, which will result in lower premiums for everyone.

How is it that the rest of the civilized world can be so wrong on this yet still rank so much better than the US in every conceivable category?
