habs, nothing with funding it, but it had a one year delay on the individual mandate. this one year delay has been given out by obama to many others, just not the individual americans.

it also excluded congress, their staff, and obama from healthcare subsidies.

When I get home, I will reply with a longer response to educate you guys on how the bill is supposed to work. I can't believe I have to, but I will.

Doesn't mean they won't this time. There's no presidential election to focus on. They waxed the dems the first time this bill was passed. Hopefully it's round two in the senate this time. But to answer your question. It shows the American people are either stupid, complacent, or bought off.

Oh I see. Disagree with you and they are stupid, complacent or bought off. LOL

Here's an option. Pass a bill to fund everything including Obamacare, but only fund to the level of currently collected tax revenues. Problem solved and no debt ceiling increased needed.

Will there be hard choices? Sure, but a government should only spend what it can collect from it's citizens. This pay in the future scam cannot go on forever.

Bad thing is, it can collect whatever it wants from it citizens. Or whatever it can print. Which is why none of them ever really care....

The House controls the funding of all bills. They just need to look at current tax revenues and pass bills that only use the tax revenue. No printing required.

That's how it should be, but I don't think either party really wants that.

I guess sites are only closed for undesirables like WWII vets. Typical.

A planned immigration reform rally will take place on the National Mall on Tuesday even though the site is closed due to the government shutdown.

Organizers for the "Camino Americano: March for Immigration Reform" were spotted Monday setting up a stage and equipment on the National Mall for the rally which will take place on Tuesday.

A few scattered barriers around the park have signs informing visitors that the area is closed as a result of the government shutdown.

Susana Flores, a spokesperson for the rally, confirmed for the Washington Examiner that the Park Service will allow the event to take place under the group's rights granted by the First Amendment.

About 30 members of Congress are expected to attend the rally, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J.
The event is hosted by several immigration activist groups, together with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the AFL-CIO.

It's just mind boggling how much on the wrong side of things the left is. How did we become this nation?
