This is the logical response and exactly what the seller is trying to make a statement about. How do I know? I asked him politely, Why? He said the money was Never an issue and he was just making a point about the direction the hobby is going. So it cost him 60 bucks or whatever to make a statement, the fun he is having reading these posts is probably worth it to him. I told him he created quite the shiz storm on a card forum...his response, " I found the forum you are talking about and appreciate the lively banter."
He seems anything but childish, this thread on the other hand....judge for yourself, or better, just chillax and enjoy your day. jmhoBucket: Hidden Content
Interested in anything hockey, any team, mostly less common rookie cards and anything with a Team Canada jersey.

Wellllll, because of your polite inquiry to the seller and his perusal of our whacky little forum, the price on that new masterpiece has risen to $499, which means I will not be purchasing it for to have Jon make a custom out of therein posthaste.
So........you're on my list now, Bruins-lover :D

Whatever point this fellow is trying to make is lost on me. Is it a response to the creation of artificial scarcity by card companies that continue to churn out 1/1, 1/4, 1/9 cards into a well-established and, at times, eager market for them? A commentary on materialism in our society? Or just what it appears to be - a childish, irresponsible and disrespectful act from an autograph dealer who couldn't care less about Kesler collectors and hockey cards in general?
Yes, these are just images on media and little chunks of event-/game-/player-worn materials and they matter little in the grand scheme of things. That old horse is trotted out in almost every thread where comparative valuations, high prices or the actions of obsessed collectors comes up. There are still children who go hungry and countless other injustices throughout the world, so commentary should always be taken in context. As long as the hobby exists, however, we as collectors deserve to be treated with at least a modicum of respect. Whether we are down to collecting just one PC guy or we open up a case of everything that comes out, this hobby is important to each and every one of us on here in some way. It's how we stay connected to the sport, our piece of the dream, a way to be a fan of the game. When someone destroys a card like that out of what can only be pure pettiness, they defecate all over the hobby and over you, me and everyone else reading this.

Lol 499 that's funny. You know what would be more funny. Everyone buy one of his items and leave negative feedback!

Meh, it's over. Tim says he's a decent guy after talking with him, and that's good enough for me. I'll never agree with what he did or why he did it, but what's done is done.
And oh look, I have a SPGU gold auto to chase and and a there's couple of Dominion cards floating around. Kesler moves on :)

Lol...the main point is fun! He is watching you all get your panties in a wad...over NOTHING!!! He has perfect feedback and the most childish and petty waste of time would be to try and give him negitive feedback....That just means you took the bait..the only person who has any a stake in this is Ed, and he sees the humor in all This, just let er go....or, find out just how long you can be angry at a Total stranger!! jmho

Am I the only one at all who feels any passion for this hobby anymore? I don't even like Kesler and I'm ten times more upset about this than you, Ed. You must be one mellow dude!
