hey! ok, Salaam sucked and was a bust, but give KiJana a break, he had a serious knee injury to start out and wasn't the same, so who knows what the former Nittany Lion and should have been Heisman winner/National champ wouldve done

Bandwagoner's are crazy and I personally am not one of them, I tend to stick to Patrick Crayton and Pittsburgh Steelers once in awhile try to get a few cards of a player I like. As much as I hate to say this bandwagoner's are what make the hobby go around, if you want to make money you need to have people that want to pay outrageous amounts after a player has a great week or two, yes it is a bad thing for a collector, but it is a seller's dream, and granted we all would love to have 10 Hester Autos's right now and make some money to buy other nice things. If noone ever payed high prices for stuff book value's would never go up and the value of any card would not rise.
I have the same problem with Crayton, some weeks his Contenders Auto sells for $25-$30 after a good game, other weeks they only pull in $10-$15, you just have to learn to deal with it.

you need to view these trading cards as stocks. Some are up, some are down. Player has a great game, his stock goes up. Same if the team has a great game. Rex is the QB. The Bears have a good game and win, the hot players always go up, as does the QB since he`s the one running the show. It`s been like this for a few years now. Same with Emmitt Smith. When he had a great game, his cards shot up. When he didn`t, they leveled out but stayed high because he`s a sure bet for the HOF. HOF`s will always remain steady in book value and sales. They`re established for awhile now and really aren`t going anywhere but up in the future.

i am proud to say i am not nor have ever been a bandwagoner. ive been a cubs, bulls, cowboys, tar heels fan my whole life. and as you all well know the bulls cubs and cowboys havnt exactly been good the last 8 or so years except for small stretches. i have to agree with you bandwagoners make me sick

After reading the whole thread this is the point that i was going to make its like stock. The whole hobby is a game of chance the hobby has been this way for ever sometimes you win sometimes you lose. Most companies now try and lure you in with the "willy wonka " affect, buy and you may get the golden ticket (t206 honus wagner ect..) Its a gamble weather you are buying a pack to win the prize or you want it for the next big rookie card.

although we all get annoyed seeing the same post i want (insert hot player name here) posts. i think bandwagoners are not so bad. if im not collecting the guy why not let you bid 3X book for a tony romo rookie on ebay. ill just sell it to you and then buy my bucs stuff. sorry if some one had a similar post like this i didnt read the entire thread. thanks

I like it myself, even though I did sell a Hester auto beginning of the season for $10 that sells over $60 now. When Romo's stuff went up how many people were going through scrub rookie boxes to see what they had. If you had one(which I didn't) you would much rather trade or sell well it's higher than lower. That's just more you could add to your collection. I can understand though if you collect a low end player and he catches fire now his cards are selling over bv. But don't you want those players to do good. Example I collect Donte Stallworth he's been an average receiver through out his career. If he has a span of three four games where he puts up great numbers and his cards go up I can live with that either wait to buy or put the $$$ up. I'm not going to hope for more 1 reception, 5 yard games so his cards are cheap.
