I also find going to ANY professional sports event a HUUUUUUUGE ripoff too. I`ve been a Jets season ticket holder since 1984(and I attended many games at Shea Stadium before they moved to NJ). My tickets have gone up once again. I use to pay $22.00 per ticket when the Jets first moved to NJ and I got my season tickets. Last season they were $60.00 per ticket. Next season(2007)I have to pay $70.00 per ticket)x4 - x10 games($2,800 for my season tickets every year). $25.00 for parking within walking distance to the stadium(or $15.00 if I feel like hiking). I no longer buy anything at any stadium unless I have my children with me(they are allowed to purchase 1 souvenir each). I bring my own food, beer, soda, water. I have since stopped tailgating(BBQ`ing)because I`m too lazy to lug all that crap to and fro these days. What are you left with when you purchase a trading card? A piece of cardboard with a picture on it and possibly an autograph that wasn`t signed for you nor in front of you. Maybe a piece of a jersey or shoe or jockstrap that no one can be certain is actually "Game Used" or if the player even wore it. I think these card companies just go out and buy material at wholesale and cut little pieces from it and then state that it is genuine "game used". I seriously doubt any card company would ever cut up a game used jersey ever. Just my opinion. I am 100% skeptical about that idea. I would think a Topps/UD/any one of the companies CEO`s would much rather keep any GUI`d auto`d jersey for themselves.

I hate those snotty letters from Topps. They have horrible quality control so you can always expect to return at least some cards. Now they want both receipts and barcodes which is a real pain jf you dont notice the problem immediately. I now hesitate to buy their products due to horrible customer service.
Maybe its time to start a letter writing/email campaign to Eisner to let him know what a mess Topps has become. We all like their products and just want them to stand behind them!
