How often do you strike real MOJO?
I don't know why, but as I drove to work this morning I began to try and remember some times when I've been lucky enough to pull some really nice cards. I'm talking star autographed or auto/jsy cards.
I can seriously only recall two times that I've pulled real MOJO straight from a pack. And that's in 13 years.
To me this further amplifies that buying singles is the way to go.
May not be as exciting, but it's also not as disappointing.
Okay, so how about you guys?
How many Mojo pulls and how many years?
Real Mojo. I hope you've done better than me.
Plmk and thanks...

two, ever. one was a babe ruth/jason giambi bat i pulled out of a kmart variety box back in 2002, the other was a jeter/reggie bush dual auto redemption i landed about 2 months ago. sold them both, i just cant justify keeping cards that high in bv when i can sell them to pay off student loans, car payments, and buy a ton more cards

it all depends on what you consider mojo,if it,s something for the pc or if it,s high bv.i know for myself it really doesn,t happen often but when it does you can,t beat that feeling, there,s nothing like opening a pack or box of cards and pulling that major mojo, you know the type of card that makes you shake a little and say holy sh@@@@t,this past 2 week span has been pretty good to me pulled a chris paul 4 color autopatch from a 05/06 sp authentic box,and in a retail topps turkey red football i pulled a maurice jones drew gold 17/50 and a mario williams white parallel auto 09/25,but yes you probably have to buy at least 10 or more boxes for 1 major mojo but that,s the fun of this hobby if you pulled major mojo everytime the thrill would be gone sorry for the long response take care steve

I pulled a Dwight Howard SPX Dual Jersey Auto /100 last year or a Lual Deng/Ben Gordon dual auto /100 from SP Signature Edition around the same time. Best Ive had though (if you consider those MOJO). 19 years (off and on) of collecting.

Ive never had any super mojo, but Ive really never spent over 5$ on a pack, one time I bought a 05 Topps hobby pack and pulled a Steve Young GU card...booked @ 30$ so I was happy.

I have been collecting since 1988, that is 19 years. The highest value card I have ever pulled was around 100 bucks. I have basically given up on ever getting any big "MOJO". When the odds on anything you can sell for 50+ are 1/2000-1/100000 it's just next to impossible. Most Jerseys and Autos only sell for 2-20 bucks and the major ones (hot draft picks) or (Legends Marino, Elway ect....) are that much harder to find. Sure you can go spend 350 bucks on a box of sterling or a grand on one pack of treasures but your chances for a star are still astronomical. I've given up on 100 dollar boxes and stick to the occasional 20 dollar retail box.
