just got back into collecting this year but have had some decent pulls.
06 bowman chrome lorenzo cain orange refractor #/25 (sold for $100)
06 bowman chrome kenji johjima auto (still have it, books for $150)
exquisite redemption out of 06 spx baseball (redeemed, and still waiting for the card)
06 allen & ginter cal ripken jr. rip card (only box of A&G i have opened, books for $150, still have it)
06 topps triple threads Laurence Maroney triple jsy auto #/50 (still have it)
and just a week ago i pulled an 06 bowman chrome Alex Gordon auto (still have it, books for $200, last one sold for $250)
of course you have to pay to play (or pull). i have definitely had my fair share of crappy breaks (don't ever buy 06 UD Legends football!)

2 years ago from a $19.99 variety box I pulled a Barry Sanders Auto and then a month or so ago I bought 3 packs of contenders and I pulled a Vince Young SP Auto, BV $350. So it seems to be about every 2 years or so for me.
As for pulling my own PC items, it doesn't happen for me.

I pulled a Roethlisberger/Rivers dual auto from a box of '04 Foundations. At the time, it booked at $400. That was only my second hobby box.
A couple years later and a LOT of money later, and I haven't even come close to matching that pull.

LOL............its just like the casinos they give you a big freebie at first and then watch you pay back all the money andthen some..........
Few weeks ago i had a dilemna, I desperately wanted a box of SPA to snag one of the patch auto rcs but instead of that knowing my god awful luck i just went on the bay and bought a Maroney SPA Patch Atuo Redemption.....guaranteed mojo.lol

I've pulled a lot of high end stuff, but my 2 biggest Mojo's have to of been a Donruss Classics Favre auto /15, $400, and a Babe Ruth Jersey/Bat /20 $400, the ruth was actually a box I bought from here too on a case break, a couple of years ago.

the biggest pull i have had is prolly these 2
i traded for a box of 2002 originals baseball for i think 4 15-20bv game used about 2-3years ago and i pulled a nolan ryan reprint auto /16!!
then next one i didnt realize was that great
i won a box of playoff prime patches from 2005 in a contest and pulled a prime patches logo patch auto of roberto alomar
is was numbered 1 of 1!
iwas pretty happy but didnt think i could get a lot for it and i ended up getting about 175 for it!
pretty happy!

2006 Leaf Certified Materials FOTG Caddy GU/AU /24. Unfortunately....let it go on Ebay for much too cheap.
2006 Topps Alex Gordon AU. Same story. :(
Those are the two biggest cards I've pulled. I've pulled a few minor mojo, as in $30-60 cards, but those were the two biggies.

04 Pulled a Ben Roethlisberger auto.
05 pulled 3 1/1 press plate autos of Cadillac Williams, Mike williams and Troy Williamson.
***Edit***Pulled a Topps Rookie Premeir auto of Cedric Benson out of a topps rack pack also this year...sold it cheaply due to me hating the bears
