With the 30th pick the San Diego Chargers select from the University of South Carolina WR Sidney Rice

Rice is a big target and with all the other hopefuls gone we're lucky to still get him at 6-3 200lbs. his size will allow him to be either an outside or slot receiver which the Chargers need!

With the 31st overal pick in the draft the Bears have a few areas of improvment we can use with this pick. WR, OLB, and OL are our main concerns. If there was a top tier WR left, we were going to look there to add to our offence and give Rex Grossman another target. We figure our defence is good enough and drafting a defensive player in the first round is foolish, and there is pleanty of good talent we can get in the later rounds to add to our depth. With our aging offensive line, we figure we should draft there and help protect Grossman. With that said with the 31st overal pick in the draft the Chicago Bears select Ben Grubbs, OG out of Auburn. He is an outstanding athlete for this position and with excelent quickness. He has a few weaknesses, but with a big upside. He will be an excelent addition for our line for the future.

well, our Indy colts GM is now banned from STC....so I talked with matt31387 and we came up with the 2 same people on this pick.

So ill cut to the chase...the Colts obvious needs are on defense, DT, LB, and then Oline, were looking at Justin Harrell DT, Joe Staley OT, while we need a LB theres really none we can take here without taking him too high.

Since Safety was mentioned I will comment on it....it isnt a huge weakness, we have our 2 starters returning next year in Bob Sanders and Antoine Bethea, who Bob is top 3 FS in the NFL and Bethea had a very solid rookie year. Both are young...and Safety isnt the area of concern in Indy.

LB is a big area of need...but as I said nothing here at this spot to take.

Oline, Joe Staley would add bulk on our oline, but is oline a major impact position to take, considering we dont have a 2nd round pick, and we could find a lineman later, Dline is so critical to get a contributor early on or the talent will fall off

SO Dline, Freeney and Mathis are solid, so DT is the big concern there, Justin Harrell is a big run stuffing DT who comes from Tennessee who has a history of producing very good DT's, (Haynesworth/Henderson) we have a huge need at DT and think Harrell could be a perfect fit here.

With the final pick in the 1st round, and closing this Mock draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Justin Harrell, DT from Tennessee

I agree with everything said here. At the time though the thoughts were Peterson was going to Cle so at the time it seemed logical. I would be a happy man if Peterson does land with the Vikings. It would be nice to replace Moss as we have been missing an offence explosion the past couple years.

For the most part everything looks close to what we might see on Saturday. The Raiders may screw the whole thing up though....lol. Brady Quinn was on ESPN this morning and said that he's in exploratory contract negotiations with the Raiders at the moment but says it's legit. It's also reported that the Raiders are doing the same thing with Russell and Calvin Johnson so I think the Raiders will go with whoever will be the easiest (and probably the cheapest) of the three to sign. In my eyes that would probably be Quinn because he'd probably do anything to be the #1 pick as that's his goal. Russell has already said coming out of college that he wants to make money, money, and more money so I don't think he'll take a reduced contract.
