Tony, I would prefer to keep that. Since we will have a graded check option, please should now (and we will post it) that is a subjective field. I would say we can narrow it down if you want, but I would like those fields.

What we could do is add "no estimate" and have that as the default. This way if people feel uncomfortable then they can just leave that selected.

About Condition
While I am not an expert, I agree with Mike. Keep in mind that this is a database, and the strength of a database comes also from the possibility of establishing a relativity in between rows. If we have only input text fields, it will be much more difficult to browse the database, organize it (gone would be the condition field, in this case), and so on.

About Value
I am not an expert, but I am sure people would find this field useful, since you also trade cards in this forum. Anyhow, the field is not required.

A lot of work to add a card
Considering there are only 5 required fields, and the benefits of having your inventory in an easily manageable format, and the possibility of having a showcase page to show your card collection, I think the work is not much, after all. Additionally, the CSV import feature is there exactly to let you import almost any spreadsheet info, as long as you have all the required fields in your rows.

Applying the Changes
I am very happy for all the feedbacks but I need to summarize things a bit or we will be doing a lot of small edits that are not good for the health of the code, if you get what I mean. Also, the system is much more complex than it looks, so that when we change the form, we must also rearrange the CSV section, the showcase section, the data manager, and so on.

So, these are the changes you requested so far: please confirm or expand on them before we proceed with our edits.

1) Card Name: Remove the field, because all cards have a Player Name and Player Last Name value. ...done
2) Change Status options to: Personal collection,For Trade,For Sale,For Trade/Sale ...done
3) New Card Type Field (not required): Base,Insert,Parallel,Other
4) New field below Card Type (how to be called?) (not required): Autograph,Game Used,Rookie,Press Plate,Graded
5) Allow non numeric chars in Card Number..done
6) Add another field with the following options (how to be called?): BGS,PSA,BCCG,GAI,SGC,Other
7) I personally hate Football; the image was there because the set included it that way :)

In which order do you want the new fields in the form? Still working on them, but it might help to know how you want them to appear in the form ;)

Additionally, keep in mind that now the Player Last Name and Player First Name fields are required, since we no longer have the overall name field.

Ok, please check the new form. Sorry it took so long, but we had to rethink some parts of the script to take into account the new fields. Also, the watermark function seemed to be too slow on this server, so we had to rearrange a couple of things. I have also added the lightbox, which will be used also in the Showcase, in the Card Edit page. I am still fixing the search boxes.

I know there's a description field, but can another field be added after the player name to input, "Rookie Card", "Game Used", "Auto", etc. Some people will want to search a person's inventory that way and would be nice if that was a searchable field.
