I agree, all though I dont think Randy will make the big plays without a quarterback like Tom Brady. Look at what happened in Oakland. Andrew Walter and Aaron brooks/Kerry Collins just couldn't coexist with randy. He's getting older and unless he has a superb quarterback he wont put up numbers similar to that of when he was a viking. My point is that New England may very well wind up letting him go when he wants more money knowing that he probally wont be able to perform on another team like he did for the patriots.

The Patriots are also unlike the Yankees because the players NE brought in proved to be key parts of the team and contributed greatly to the team's success.
I'm not a fan of the Pats, but I respect what they've done. To go undefeated in today's league is amazing.

first of all congrats pats, but you might have been better off losing to the giants 16-0 is great but it will not be truly validated unless they win a super bowl, other than the dolphins game and the jets they have had some really close calls against the ravens, eagles and lastly the giants, yes people will remember 16 -0 forever but if they don,t win the super bowl it will be just like the 1999 seattle mariners in baseball who won 114 games but lost to the yankees, hardly anyone recognizes that seattle team as great and if the pats lose in the playoffs they will be remembered as the best team to never win a super bowl.on a side note randy moss is and always will be a great wide receiver,i find it interesting that the 2 highest scoring teams in football had him on their roster, first the vikings and now the pats, but we all remember what happened to that viking team against the falcons and i see new england suffering a similar fate in the playoffs, take care steve

im not saying the pats didnt play hard and all, but they did have a VERY easy schedule and suffered little injuries. the games are the battles, which they won, now they just have to win the war which i dont think they can do.
i wouldnt be suprised if they won the superbowl, but the ONE reason i dont want them to is because there is gonna be 200 sore winners in here posting and saying theyre the best ever and all that and its gonna get old fast.

dont get me wrong...the pats are an amazing team and what they did was an amazing thing, but i think they will certainly lose in the first or second roung, and then there is only a faint memory of an "undefeated" season

There has been one major injury that has hurt the defense big time. When Colvin (OLB) got placed on injured reserve, they didn't have a fifth linebacker. So instead of Seau/Bruschi/Vrabel getting rest because they are old, they wind up playing the whole game and get tired out. They wear down and cant perform well.

VERY easy schedule??? They beat 4 division winners! Before the season started they had the 3rd toughest schedule. I know they had a couple easy games against their division opponents, but they beat 4 of the 5 best teams in the league (not including themselves). And depending on what happens today, they may have beaten 7 playoff teams.

Good points. Every year teams have "easy" schedules, but no one's been able to run the table since the Dolphins.
