Cmon man Moss couldn't deal with Walter and Brooks beacuse the were terrible and on top of that they had no offensive line. And do you really think Moss is gonna be asking for more money when he took a huge paycut to be on the team in the first place.

i think bill made a couple adjustments at halftime, smart coaches do that, the giants coach didn't counter bills changes. didn't he know that there are 2 halves to a game?
moss won't be leaving next year, he likes it there, and i think he will also do what brady does money wise, for the good or the team. i don't think he is all about the money.
a few players have left the patriots on account of the money, and they kept winning. whats with that? maybe its about the system and not the player.
if you practice hard and do the necessary physical stuff to get into playing shape and stay there, you have less injuries during the season, appearently someone on the patriots staff has figured that out. has anyone noticed that the players say bill still works them hard? maybe bill knows something. this is not rocket science.
someone on the patriots staff also figured out that some of the supposed "old guys" aren't as washed up as people say they are. hmmm, seau, and moss are 2 examples. yeah, that moss, that people were saying lost it and should have retired last year. oh yeah, people said favre should have retired 3 or 4 years ago. testeverde came off the couch and did well. the player should decide when he retires, not the fans.
if they left it up to the fans the game would be very different, go for it every 4th down, 2 point try after every touchdown, throw the bomb every play, the hockey fans would want more fights, lets face it, the fans don't know squat about how to play the game.
you can't say the patriots had an easy schedule because their division sucks.
i don't think moss has a problem co-existing with brady. it doesn't appear he does. he was the first to congradulate brady on one of bradys touchdown runs. DUH.
as far as moss putting up numbers like on the vikes, culpepper had 2 receivers, brady has more and spreads it around a lot, and moss still gets his and doesn't cry, fingerpoint, and carry on at the sidelines when he doesn't get the ball, like a cowboy i won't mention.
i am not a true pats or brady fan. i do have a lot of respect for the way the patriot organization does things, especially with them losing good assistant coaches and players, and still continuing to win, and bills coaching ability.
before the season started, a lot of people were saying moss wouldn't fit in or make it in boston. where are they now?
i admire the steelers organization because they are on their 3rd coach in something like 40 years. is it the team or the stadium that is owned by the fans in green bay? is that awesome or what? the seats are owned and passed down from father to son or daughter. waiting list is like 10 years or something like that.
i admire organizations and owners that have loyalty to their teams other than the money. i live near buffalo, and their big thing is that the bills lost 4 superbowls. BFD
they put marv levy, jim kelly, and therman thomas in the HOF, why don't they put the rest of the team in too? they lost the same 4 superbowls. yeah i know, they got there, they got there, i hear it all the time. when buffalo drafted kelly and he went to the usfl instead, he said, "teams from the cold climates couldn't win the big one" he was right concerning buffalo, and he helped it come true.
so---when, not if, when the patriots win the superbowl, give their fans a break and let them vent, like i am doing now. i just love this site. just another old guy. bob

Bear,
Spoke very well and eloquently.
I will be happy if an AFC team wins the Superbowl. Not a NFC kinda guy. With that being said, I don't mind smack talk I just dislike it when it's over the top.

The Patriots continue to put together a team that is dedicated to winning. They needed receivers they got them. Everyone talks about Moss demanding money, let him go then. Stallworth is a very good, Gaffney is a good #3 and Wes Welker is a premeire slot receiver. Brady can make anyone a useable NFL receiver.Lets not forget the 2important parts of winning in the playoff, running the football and defense. When called on lately Maroney has been very good. They also have guys on there defense that seem to play even better in the playoffs. I am a big time Bears fan and I know how long it can be to see a Superbowl game that has meaning to me, but you have to give credit where credit is due. They just try to win. They in no way are like the Yankees, team continuity is more important then talent in some cases. The players on the Patriots seem to be on the same page. I see some tough games for them, possibly Pitt, Indy, or Jacksonville and it will be tough but if they win the Superbowl this season would be unbelievable. The NFL trys to prevent this kind of stuff with salary caps and the Pats went undefeated.

It all comes down to, the Patriots did something no other team could do, go 16-0. You can say whatever you want affected them or went their way (like the previous comment on an easy schedule), but we did something your teams couldn't do. And simply for that you shouldn't knock us and make it seem like we were lucky, because your team didn't do it. And I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything, but this is all true. The Patriots are a great team and have great coaches that know how to win. So many fans of other teams hate us for whatever reasons, mostly that they lose to us.
All of your teams could've gave Bill Belichick a shot at coaching your team when the Patriots hired him. All of your teams could have drafted Tom Brady in one of the first five rounds, but you didn't.
And about the Giants game, we made sooooo many mistakes its unbelievable. And when the Giants would take advantage of those mistakes, we'd be right behind them, and adjusted to what they were doing, which brought us to victory.
Randy Moss will stay next year, he's changed being under the Patriots system and is starting to understand the importance of the team. At this stage in his career, he wants to win, and he realizes that he'll win in New England.
Bearfield, great comments, I really respect you and the others who have shown respect for the Pats. Pats fans don't make up ridiculous claims to defend their teams, like a lot of other fans. We simply state the truth and the facts and losing fans just seem like they're jealous with all of the comments.

Congrats to the Patriots on 16-0. I was hoping they would lose myself...but they deserved it.

I hate the Pats, but I respect all the records they broke this season and of course their 16-0 achievement. They still have three more games to win.

I'm not a big Pats fan, actually not a fan at all. But I will secretly be happy if a guy like Junior Seau actually gets a Super Bowl ring. Other than that, I'll be rooting for every team they play to beat them. LOL.
As for Moss, I don't like him either, but I think the Pats has been a good home for him. Aside from the TD record, when was the last team you saw Moss run a route downfield and actually throw a block when the ball wasn't thrown to him? He's been throwing monster blocks for everyone.
