Browns agreed to terms with Shaun Rogers to a six-year, $42 million contract. $20 million is guaranteed and he'll make $23 million in the first three years.
Replacing Tommy Kelly as the highest paid defensive tackle in the league. Acquiring Rogers in a trade was a gamble, and this ups the ante. Rogers may fit better in Cleveland's 3-4 defense than in Detroit, but he struggled with weight and motivation right after his last big contract. There's no doubt Cleveland's line is vastly improved though. Mar. 5 - 11:43 am et

Bears agreed to terms with Marty Booker on a two-year contract.
Booker may never play with a league-average quarterback, but this deal makes sense for both sides. Chicago needs a capable veteran to take snaps, whether it's off the bench or in the starting lineup. The Bears would love Devin Hester and Mark Bradley to earn starting jobs, but Booker is a fine safety valve if not. He still won't have much fantasy value. Mar. 4 - 10:53 pm et

Raiders agreed to terms with Javon Walker on a six-year, $55 million contract, with $16 million guaranteed. He'll make $27 million in the first three years.
Al Davis has lost his mind. Even Walker's old coach Mike Shanahan said the receiver eventually needed microfracture surgery on his chronically sore knee. No one else was bidding for Walker, and many teams publicly denounced any interest. Walker gained 57 yards on seven catches in his last five games last year, and barely seemed able to run. Perhaps he'll recover, but Walker isn't worth Randy Moss money even when healthy. Like Moss' deal with Oakland, this one could end ugly. Mar. 4 - 10:34 pm et

THE RETURN OF THE FREAK
Four years after leaving for the Eagles, defensive end Jevon Kearse is returning to the town where he made his NFL debut.
According to the Nashville Tennessean, Kearse has agreed to terms with the Titans.
PFT has learned that it's a two-year, $6 million deal, with a $1.3 million signing bonus. He'll earn a total of $3 million in the first year.
Kearse starred for the Titans as a rookie in 1999, but injuries hampered him thereafter. He had flashes of high ability with the Eagles, but never lived up to the huge financial investment that the team made into him.

EAGLES CUT SPIKES
When we mentioned on Saturday that Eagles linebacker Takeo Spikes wasn't on the depth chart any longer and inferred that this could be a sign that the Eagles might be dumping him at some point in the future, Eagles web guy Dave Spadaro called us "absurd" and "stupid" and "incontinent." (Okay, we're exaggerating. He didn't call us stupid.)
Regardless, Spikes is now no longer an Eagle.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network and our friends at WIP radio in Philly, Spikes has been cut.
The move creates an immediate $5 million in cap space.
Spikes was traded with quarterback Kelly Holcomb and a late-round pick from the Bills to the Eagles in 2007 for defensive tackle Darwin Walker, who eventually was traded to the Bears. None of the three players currently is under contract with any NFL team.

BEARS BAG LLOYD
With Bernard Berrian departed via free agency and Muhsin Muhammad on the trash heap, the Chicago Bears are trying to put together a receiving corps.
And so they've picked through other teams' garbage, signing Marty Booker and, more recently, Brandon Lloyd.
The team announced the move to add Lloyd on Friday.
Lloyd was cut by the Redskins earlier this year. He was traded to D.C. in 2006 from the 49ers, where he played for three years.
The five-year veteran played college football at Illinois for Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner.

NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports that the Seahawks agreed to terms with Julius Jones. Terms aren't disclosed.
This should end the Shaun Alexander era shortly. It's a dream scenario for Jones, who gets a surprise chance to start again on a productive offense. Seattle could add a rookie, but Jones should play ahead of T.J. Duckett and Maurice Morris. Jones regressed in Dallas, but he's an upgrade from Alexander and could mature late like his brother. He won't play every down, but any Seattle starter is an intriuging fantasy prospect.
